Hey Everyone!!

Just to give you a little peek into what cloth diaper companies to expect to hear about in June....

Peter Rabbit Organic Fruit Snacks Review & Giveaway

THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED!!!!

I am just starting to feed my little one solids - fruits, vegetables, and rice cereal and there are so many options out there! The number one thing I am looking for in the baby foods I feed him is that it is 100% organic with no added suger or preservatives! That is so important to me and to my son's health!

Well, if you have the same criteria, here is an option for your baby's fruit serving. Peter Rabbit Organics Fruit Snacks are packed full of 100% fruit. They have done all the washing, chopping and peeling for you, so we can eat the fruit on the go without worrying about the mess or the hassle!

These fruit snacks are all made from pure, organic fruit! They have no added sugar or preservatives and are stored in a BPA-free pouch! Yes, a pouch. That is what makes this snack a lot different than many baby fruits or fruit snacks. It comes in a squeezable drink pouch and are easy to drop into a diaper bag, lunch box or purse without breaking or spilling the fruit everywhere!

It is ideal for babies 6 months and older, but it is also great for older children and adults! The fruit can be enjoyed straight from the pouch - no spoons required! It is great in rice cereal for the little ones too!

My Opinion
I love to give my son a great variety of fruits and veggies, so I am always open to try new products, especially if they are organic! Plus, when I saw these fruit pouches were good for babies and adults, I was sold!

When they arrived, I served them right to my baby in his rice cereal. It smelled good and my son seemed to enjoy it! It is not the sweetest fruit snack I have ever tasted, but my son liked it and that is what is most important!
However, when my son couldn't finish it all, my husband wanted to try it. He tried it and finished the whole packet! If he ate it, then it must taste pretty good because he is very picky! :)

I loved that each pouch was a whole serving of fruit and I loved the reusable caps that easy twist back on if you don't finish it all! The pouch was convenient to throw into the diaper bag for trips and I was happy not to have to worry about it breaking or spilling everywhere!

I recommend these fruit pouches to all parents and any one who wants an easy fruit snack that gives a whole serving of fruit in an easy to eat pouch! It is easy to travel with or send in a lunch box!

Pros: easy to open, resealable, easy to pour and eat, unbreakable pouch, easy to transport/travel with, great flavors, whole serving of fruit in each pouch, unopened pouches don't need to be refrigerated, made from organic fruits

Cons: not the greatest fruit snack I have ever tasted, I didn't really like the texture. However, if you are giving to baby in their cereal, this works great and I don't think many babies are very picky yet!

Buy It: You can purchase Peter Rabbit Organics fruit pouches at nearby grocery stores, Starbucks, buybuy Baby, or Amazon for $16.50 for a 10 pack. Go here to find your nearest store location that carries Peter Rabbit Organics

Peter Rabbit Organics is generously offering (1) 10-pack of Peter Rabbit Organics fruit pouches in assorted flavors!

Friday HA HA!

WHERE DO RED-HEADED BABIES COME FROM?

After their baby was born, the panicked father went to see the Obstetrician. 'Doctor,' the man said, 'I don't mind telling you, but I'm a little upset because my daughter has red hair.

She can't possibly be mine!!'

'Nonsense,' the doctor said. 'Even though you and your

wife both have black hair, one of your ancestors may have

contributed red hair to the gene pool.'

'It isn't possible,' the man insisted. 'This can't be,

our families on both sides had jet-black hair

for generations.'

'Well,' said the doctor, 'let me ask you this. How

often do you make love to your wife??? '

The man seemed a bit ashamed. 'I've been working very

hard for the past year. We only made love once or twice

every few months.'

'Well, there you have it!' The doctor said confidently.

'It's rust.'

Fix-It and Forget-It Cookbook: Revised and Updated Review

I am a lazy cook and, therefore, love my Slow Cooker! :) I love to stick in my ingredients early in the day and not have to think about it again until hours later!

So when I saw that the Fix-it and Forget-it Cookbook now has a revised and updated version, I had to check it out!

The original Fix-it and Forget-it Cookbook has already sold more than 5 million copies, so the author didn't want to spoil it. Therefore, they have only added a few enhancements to this original cookbook. They added 100 new recipes for slow cooker users and brand new "Prep Time", "Cooking Time", and "Ideal Slow-Cooker Size" headings are included for each recipe. Also, they have added four pages of basic and very helpful "Extra Information", one page of tips for using the slow cooker year round, additional tips and tricks spread throughout the book, a second color - a rich purple, along with a revised, improved index, revised personal introduction by the author and her comments and voice throughout the recipes.

My Opinion
This book was always very helpful to me and where I primarily get my crockpot recipes. Now that they've learned a lot since the original, they have only made it that much better! The extra tips in the front are really enlightening and the headings for each recipe (prep time, cooking time, and ideal slow-cooker size) are really helpful, especially for a cook like me that has no originality while cooking and need everything spelled out for me! :) The new purple headings help separate each recipe from the next and the little tidbits of help from other chefs throughout the book help me out too!

I recommend this cookbook to all chefs out there who love to use their crockpot and are looking for some great new recipes of all kinds to use in their crockpot!

Pros: easy to read, great recipes, great tips, helpful headings of "prep time", "cooking time", and "ideal slow cooker size" for each recipe

Cons: Not much wrong here - it is an updated version after all! The only thing I noticed is that some of my favorite recipes are missing. But I have found many more new ones!

* Thank you to FSB media for this book for review! Disclosure - This book was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

One eskimO CD Review

I recently received the new One eskimO CD for review. One eskimO is a critically-acclaimed English band fronted by singer-songwriter Kristian Leonitiou and includes musicians Pete Rinaldi (guitar), Jamie Sefton (bass, horns) and Adam Falkner (drums). They currently have the #1 adult alternative song called 'Kandi' which you may have already heard since it's the most played song on all adult rock radio four weeks and counting.

Billboard Magazine calls One eskimO's self-titled debut album "...catchy, ambient pop." and Los Angeles Times Magazine hails the song "Kandi" a beautiful. aspirational track." The album is available in stores now and the band is on tour May/June/July supporting Michael Franti and in addition to festivals and headlining shows.

My Opinion
I am the kind of person that likes all kind of music and all kinds of genres. I don't usually listen to this type of music, but I decided to give it a try and broaden my horizons. Well, it definitely was different! It was very ambient, electro, and acoustic and sometimes it was hard to understand the words. However, the songs were very catchy and I soon had the songs in my head all day!

I recommend this album to people who like Massive Attack, Snow Patrol, Gomez, or Damien Rice. If you love vibey music that sets the mood to hang out, chill out and tune in, then this new project is for you!

Pros: catchy tunes, #1 adult alternative song

Cons: many of the songs sound very similar, couldn't understand the words of many of the songs

Buy It: You can purchase this album on the One eskimO's website for $9.00

If this CD sounds interesting to you and you want more information, you can watch the "Kandi" video here, check out the band's Facebook, or get a free download of "Astronauts" via Twitter.

* Thank you to One2One Network for this CD for review! Disclosure - This CD was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.*

Tasty Baby Baby Cereal Review

As I have said before, I will only feed my little guy organic baby food. I haven't settled on a specific brand yet because I am just starting out and I love to try all different kinds of new brands to see what my son and I settle on and like the most!

The most recent brand we tried is Tasty Baby Infant Cereal. I received the Whole Grain Brown Rice Cereal to try out. This cereal is supposed to promote relaxation and build muscle during sleep. It is the ideal first solid baby food and is certified USDA organic. It has no GMO, trans fat, soy, egg, added salt or sugar, and is gluten free . It is also fortified with DHA and ARA for brain and eye development, prebiotics for digestive health and to help prevent allergies, iron, vitamins and minerals. Their fluffier flakes are more soluble than leading brands and won't lead to dangerous "clumping". It is stored in a convenient, light-weight, re-sealable BPA free and eco friendly bag and you just add liquid to serve.

My Opinion
This baby food came in a nice big packet, but once opened it was a little hard to pour because the whole top is open. The flakes drove me crazy too because they were very fluffy and sticky and flew everywhere while pouring. It was like a snow shower in my house! It was also hard to control the flow of flakes into the bowl. Plus, it took a lot more flakes to make a regular bowl of food once fluid was added than other brands I have tried.

However, my son liked it a lot and that is all that matters to me! I also love that it has added DHA and ARA and prebiotics. That is something the other cereals I have tried didn't have added!

I recommend this baby cereal to all babies who are just starting solids! It is organic, has added DHA and ARA, and prebiotics! Perfect for your little one!

Pros: nice, big ziplock bag, added DHA and ARA and prebiotics, 100% USDA organic, no GMO, trans fat, soy, egg, added salt or sugar, gluten free

Cons: very fluffy flakes that flew everywhere, big opening makes it hard to pour, take a lot of flakes to make a decent amount of food once fluid is added

Buy It: You can purchase Tasty Baby Infant Cereals at various retailers near you. Click here to find the store closest to you.

* Thank you to Tasty Baby for this product for review! Disclosure - This product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.*

Thank You Very Much....PEE!

I am so tired of my poor son waking up soaking wet no matter what diaper he wears....THANK YOU VERY MUCH to my son's urinary system. Why can't you pee more during the day!???

I am also so tired of doing laundry...it seems endless these days...once I have one load done...my son will soak another diaper..and clothes, his sheets will need washing, he will have another one of his famous (or should I saw infamous poop explosions) or my husband will come home and think that the clothes he wore to the office (to sit in a desk all day) are soooo dirty and need to be washed right now! It is like he only has one set of clothes or something....Thank you very much everyone in my family for creating for me endless amounts of laundry to do! I love walking up and down those stairs full of spiders and centipedes to put another load of laundry in for you!

And speaking of poop explosions...why o why is he doing so many of those lately!!?? Thank you very much also to my son's excretory system...You just had to join the "destroy and dirty as many of my son's clothes in one day as possible" party with the urinary system didn't you? I honestly am running out of "not completely stained beyond wash or wear" clothes for my son!

And once again, thank you very much to the rain and thunder that pounded against my window all night and kept me awake...when I should have been getting a good night of sleep so that I wasn't so crabby today! Thank you very much!!!

O how I love Thursdays so I can get all my Thank You's off my chest!!!!

World Baby Foods Review

As you all know, I am just starting to feed my baby fruits and vegetables with his rice cereal and it was important to me from the beginning to have a variety of foods in his diet so he doesn't become picky...like his dad! :)

So when I saw that Dr. Susanna has basically read my mind and created multicultural organic baby food, I could't believe it and I was very excited to have my son try them out!

Dr. Susanna's World Baby Foods offers organic and nutritionally balanced baby foods based on the cuisines of the world! Their baby food is preservative free, designed by physicians, and favor local farmers. These diverse multicultural flavors helps your baby develop into a healthier, happier, and better eater!

They make their baby foods using premium organic ingredients. Each recipe combines a variety of ingredients designed to include rich protein sources. The various recipes are designed to reflect the flavors and foods from various cultures from around the world. Some flavors include Baby Borscht (Eastern European Cuisine), Baby Dal (Flavors of India), Sweetie Tahiti (South Pacific), and Tokyo Tum Tum (Japanese flavors).

My Opinion
I love that my little one can travel the world and try so many different cultures' foods without leaving his highchair! This is one of my favorite baby foods ever! I think it is a great idea and best of all - my baby loved them! I was a little nervous about some of the flavors, because they had quite a strong smell...but he ate every single bite! And I loved that he was getting all kinds of different tastes of foods that I can't give him on a regular basis!

Plus, I don't have to worry about what is in it! It is all organic, preservative-free food! What a great idea, Dr, Susanna!
I recommend the World Baby Foods to all mothers and their children who still eat baby food! I also recommend these to any mother who would like to have their child eat a variety of foods in their diets and learn about other culture's foods.

Pros: great variety of tastes and cultures represented in each food, organic, no preservatives added

Cons: None! I loved everything about World Baby Foods! Just be careful...some of the foods have a strong smell...but it didn't stop my baby from eating every drop!

Buy It: You can purchase World Baby Foods in a 12-pack for $24.00 on Amazon.com through the World Baby Foods website

The Cream Perfume Company Review & Giveaway

This Giveaway Is CLOSED

Around the time I got pregnant and knew I had another life to think about now, I decided on trying to really switch over to organic, natural and safe products in my life. It was easy to think of the foods and the soaps and the vitamins, but one I didn't think much about as being unsafe - especially once my son was born - was my perfume. I didn't wear perfume that often, but when I did I always worried what my son was really getting in his mouth and on his hands when he cuddled with me or touched me. I decided to stop wearing perfume to protect him until I could wear something I didn't have to worry about. And now I can...

The Cream Perfume Company looks for the world's best ingredients to luxuriously hydrate and repair your skin with unique fragrances to simply delight your senses. They focus on environmentally friendly packaging and overall eco-value. They also work hard to develop premium nature identical oil blends, ECOCERT certified organic essentials, absolutes and pure plant and fruit extracts.

Most importantly, their perfumes contain no phthalates, sulfates, petro-chemicals, synthetic dyes, triclosan, GMO, PPG, DEA, TEA or formaldeyhyde donors. And don't worry about their perfumed body moisturizers - they are 100% vegan, wheat and gluten free, and contain no glycol, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, silicones, synthetic additives or synthetic fragrances.

My Opinion
I was so excited to find some great smelling lotions and perfumes that I could finally wear while holding my son and not have to worry! I received a couple of solid fragrances to try and I loved the cute containers they were in. I loved that you can take the amount you want and just dab it on in a specific place versus normal sprays where it goes all over the place! And ooohhhh..it smelled so good!
I also got some body moisturizing lotions to try. I loved how good they smelled and that they are all made of naturally derived oils and extracts from nature combined with premium French certified organic essential oils to combat dehydrated, sore, inflamed and damaged skin. A lotion that helps dry skin and works as a perfume too - now that is my kind of body lotion! Their travel size lotions were great for the times when I don't have a lot of room on a trip.
I recommend these lotions and perfumes to everyone! These smell as good, if not better, than most perfumes I have owned or have smelled. So why not switch over to something that is also completely safe and 100% organic?

Pros: smells so good and refreshing, no harsh chemicals, no animal testing, effective and safe, 100% healthy natural and organic ingredients, they use only premium French made perfumes

Cons: I can't really say anything bad about this company or its products. The only thing I can maybe say is that the fragrances are really strong - but it is easy to control how much you put it on so it shouldn't be a problem

Buy It: You can purchase the Solid Fragrances on The Cream Perfume Company for $12-$14 and Body Lotions for $12.00.

The Cream Perfume Company is generously offering (1) product of their choice to TWO of my great readers!

Ebeanstalk Spin Tacular Play Center Review

I recently received the Spin Tacular Play Center from Ebeanstalk.com. Ebeanstalk is a website dedicated to selecting great developmental toys for kids. They have a team of moms and a team of child experts that help them pick out the best toys by age, so you can be sure your child gets toys that have been specifically matched to his or her age!The site made it so easy to find a toy that would be perfect for my little one!

The Spin-tacular Play Center baby toy is a multi-layered spinning toy that is as surprising as it is colorful. It features a suction cup that attaches to smooth surfaces such as highchairs or strollers, plus it has five spinning balls and three spinning beads making this toy a true on-the-go toy.

My Opinion
This toy was perfect for my son's age and he loved to sit and spin all the different parts and hear the corresponding noises that the spinning made. The toy had many different colors which really drew his eye to it! However, I found that the suction cup did not stick very well to any surface that I tried. I tried highchair, table, and walker and it never really did suction to the surface. One swat or spin from my baby and it flew off the surface causing danger to my son and the toy.

He definitely loved it while it stayed in place though!

Pros: easy to spin, great, bright colors, fun objects in spinning balls

Cons: Suction cup did not suction to any surface, fell off surface easily and poised a small danger to child

Buy It: You can purchase the Spin Tacular Play Center at Ebeanstalk.com for $14.95

Luv-Pons Book Review

Luv-Pons is a new book by Doug and Jackie Christie, the most talked about couple in professional sports history and the co-authors of the wildly popular book, No Ordinary Love: A True Story of Marriage and Basketball. They are back together in this book, Luv-Pons. This book is a fun variety love and romance guide for couples and Doug and Christie offer real solutions to couples in today's fast-paced lifestyle of the twenty-first century.

This book is written to re-ignite the fire in your relationship and keep it burning by using the innovative and fun ideas from the book.

Here is an excerpt from the book:

"The burning desire to love and be loved is within all of us. The need to feel happy fulfilled and wanted is only natural.
When to people first meet they start off putting their best foot forward to show the other person they are worthy of their time and company. But somewhere down the line that often changes. And they begin to take each other and the relationship for granted. Life’s daily routines begin to appear monotonous and the nervous, exited feeling each person felt in the beginning becomes obscured. the fire in the relationship may seem to die down a bit, but doesn’t really go out. It is just waiting for a breath of life that only love and romance can bring. “Luv-Pons”, is the way to re-igniting the fire you once shared!"

My Opinion
This book was a little book packed full of love poems, real life love stories, recipes, and, of course, great coupons to bring that spark back into your love life and married life! It was a fun book to read! If you are looking for a book to read and then talk over with a spouse to get some ideas on how to add a little extra romance to your relationship, then this is for you. It is definitely not for couples who are having major issues - it is more just a fun read for couples. It might be a fun present to give to a young couple just getting married or for a couple that has been married for 50 years. The coupons are a great idea (and there are a lot included!) and can be very fun to use! If your husband can't think of anything to do for Valentine's Day get him this book! I also love that the couple who wrote it, Doug and Jackie Christie, truly believe in love and romance and what they have written in this book. They have been married for 14 years and they are honored to be an exception in this world of divorces! They speak from experience in this book!

I recommend this book to couples looking to add that little extra spark in their relationship or need some ideas on romance.

Pros: easy to read, numerous coupons included that tear out easily for use, written by a couple who take marriage and romance very seriously

Cons: Nothing is really bad about this book...just don't take it as a marriage fixer if you have serious problems in your marriage

Buy It: You can purchase this book on the Luv-Pons website for $11.01

Caitlin: A Soldier's Tale Book Review

I recently received Caitlin: A Soldier's Tale by James W. Conlin published by Dorrance Publishing Co. This book is a historical fiction novel about John Caitlin, a soldier who takes a journey starting in the Calvary of the Great Plains in the 1850's to the Civil War Campaigns in the West. It follows his journey through wars, promotions, and love. He is a natural leader and the book follows his growth into a true American hero - soldier, citizen, husband, and father.

My Opinion
This book is written by James W. Caitlin who is a retired military Intelligence specialist. Therefore, the book is very technical with lots of talk of war promotions and other war talk. It is sometimes hard to follow if you don't know much about the military or its operations. However, the story line is one that grasps you and makes you want to keep reading. I celebrated with John Caitlin as he acted as a hero and as he was rightfully promoted and also was on the edge of my seat as he fought in war after war, watching his friends and comrades die around him. Overall, it is a great story line and I liked following along on John Caitlin's journey through life in the military in the 1800's.

I recommend this book to people interested in historical fiction books and military novels. The history aspect was very prominent and I loved that part. The military aspect was also equally prominent so it helps if you have a general understanding of military operations and lingo.

Buy It: You can purchase Caitlin: A Soldier's Tale for $15.00 from Dorrance Publishing Co.'s website

* I received a complimentary copy of Caitlin: A Soldier's Tale as a member of the Dorrance Publishing Book Review Team. Visit dorrancebookstore.com to learn how you can become a member of the Book Review Team.*

Dipe N' Go Review

THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED

Have you ever had that panic moment as a mother where you realize you have no place to change that soaking wet baby or that major poop explosion they just had?! I have...and that is why I was so excited to recently receive a Dipe N' Go. The Dipe N' Go is a portable changing mat for your SUV, hatchback vehicle, or minivan that has been specially designed to hold everything a parent who's on the go needs to take care of their child's diaper changing needs! It attaches easily to the inside of the hatch and is made of soft, machine washable fabric with multiple pockets for everything you need to change a diaper - spare diapers to powder to wipes! It is all there in one convenient place! You just simply unroll the Dipe N' Go with just one hand and gently lie your baby down and make a quick, safe, easy diaper change!

My Opinion
This Dipe N' Go idea is genius! You just peel off the sticker on the back of it and stick it to a convenient spot in the back of your vehicle for quick diaper changes when you are on the go! It has many pockets to hold everything you can think of! It will definitely be useful when we are on our way somewhere and don't want to go to a dirty bathroom or when their isn't a bathroom changing area available! Plus, it is machine washable so if you accidentally get something on there (which I do all the time!) then you can just stick it in the wash and have a clean place to change your baby again! It was very lightweight and compact when folded, so if you did want to take it somewhere outside the vehicle to use, it would be very easy to do!
It's as easy as 1-2-3!
I recommend the Dipe N' Go for mothers on the go a lot! If you have ever experienced sheer panic of where to change your child or would like to be more sanitary on the go, then the Dipe N' Go is for you!

Pros: easy to open with one hand, machine washable, lots of pockets for storage, easily folds up and stores, lightweight

Cons: the actual changing mat was a little small for my baby to fit his whole body - he may wiggle off of it way too easily! (I have quite the wiggler though!)

Buy It: You can purchase the Dipe N' Go at Babies R' Us and The Baby's Gallerie for $19.99

Getting to Know Me...

Thought you all might like to get to know me a little better on this Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day Everyone!

1. What has been your most memorable Mother's Day? (with your mom, as a mom, or with your wife)
Well, I have only had two Mother's days as a mother - only one where I actually had a physical baby to take care of (I was pregnant last Mother's day). I would say this is my most memorable because my husband really tried to make it special for me -- he bought me a dozen roses, made me belgium waffles with strawberries and whip cream (YUMMM!!!), got a movie for us to relax and watch, bought me chocolate covered cherries (my fave!), and the day isn't over! Thanks honey!!!

2. Have you ever been pulled over for speeding and were you able to talk your way out of it?
Yes I have a couple times. Never gotten out of it! :( I got out of one once for running a stoplight and stop sign (supposedly!) though.

3. What's the oldest thing you have hanging in your closet?
A dress from that I wore in high school that still fits! :)

4. Do you whiten your teeth?
Used to..I use whitening toothpaste if that counts...I don't think it is whitening my teeth though! :)

5. Underwear or Panties..What do you call your "unmentionables"? Underwear - honestly I hate the word panties...it just bothers me for some reason...

6. If you could go on vacation right now..today..where would you go?
Hawaii..it is my dream to go there...hoping to soon!

7. Do you get offended when people cuss on their blogs?
It depends what words and why....sometimes though...

8. If you had to give up one luxury item, it would be....?
hmmm....I don't really know that I own any luxury items...:) But let's see..I don't really use or need my cellphone...is that a luxury item?

Happy Mother's Day Everyone! Go do something for you today!
