Holiday Gift Ideas from Hammacher Schlemmer

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

If you are searching for that fun, unique, or gift for the person that has everything, then I highly recommend Hammacher Schlemmer! It is their mission to enhance customers' lives by bringing them unique products that either solve problems or further their lifestyle, and eliminate their need to comparison shop by providing them with not only the best products in the marketplace, but the information supporting the reasons why these products are truly the best.

I completely agree that they offer The Best, The Only, & The Unexpected because I found both what I needed and unexpected to find from Hammacher Schlemmer: Blackout Drapes and a Jump and Learn Trampoline.

The Home Theater Blackout Drapes.

The sun beats right through my daughter's window right during naptime and we did not have any curtains that could block out this bright sun. We were literally using two sets of curtains - one hung and one tucked in the top. I was constantly re-tucking, re-adjusting and re-hanging these two sets and it was driving me CRAZY!!!

I was so excited to see that Hammacher Schlemmer carried blackout drapes and that I was going to finally have just ONE set of curtains that blocked the sun instead of two! These are the drapes that create a true theater-going atmosphere in a living room or media room by blocking distracting light and noise. Reminiscent of the curtains hung in movie houses, these polyester velvet drapes feature a patented coating proven in independent laboratory tests to block 100% of intrusive light and up to 40% of exterior sound. They are also ideal for use in bedrooms to promote sound sleep. The machine washable drapes have rod pockets and back tabs for easy hanging. They are sold as a set with two panels and come in Stone Blue, Café, or Chocolate.

These curtains work great, look great and I LOVE that they are machine washable and were really easy to hang!

The Jump And Learn Trampoline

I was searching for a great way to give my son a way to release his extra energy this winter when he can't get outside for a walk or run! He has a lot of energy that gets bottled up in the winter and we already miss our daily walks! However, we don't have a lot of room in our small house so I needed a solution that was not only fun exercise but also small enough for a small room!

And not only does this trampoline release some energy, but it is educational! This indoor trampoline teaches preschool basics as children bounce out their boundless energy. With a sensor in the frame and an integral speaker, this toy tallies bounces as they happen, allowing children to play games that teach counting, music, rhythm, recognition, and memory. "Musical statues" challenges children to stop bouncing when the music stops; other game modes let young trampolinists insert silly sounds into music, or build counting skills by announcing a precise number of jumps to execute. The padded tricycle-like handlebar gives children a secure grip, while a padded cover around the mat keeps feet from slipping through the edges. Trampoline can also be used without sound. Its compact triangular shape makes it easy to store in a corner. Assembly required. Requires three AA batteries. Ages 3 and up. Supports up to 80 lbs. 43" H x 36" W x 38" L. (18 lbs.)

So as you can see, Hammacher Schlemmer really does have vast and various gift ideas for everyone on your list this year! Have fun exploring their site and spending hours browsing their great selection of innovative, fun, and problem solving problems!

Buy It: You can purchase these products and so many more from the Hammacher Schlemmer website.

CAT E-Z Machines Radio Control

(Ages 2+)

Now young machine enthusiasts can experience the “feel of real” with Cat E-Z Machines R/C, a new preschool radio control collection with an easy-to-operate, one-button remote controller—a perfect “first” radio control toy. Mini Micro Kickboard

My son likes to be on-the-go ALL. THE. TIME. but he is just a little young to ride bikes or other similar toys. He has tried for years to reach his short little legs to the pedals on this tricycles but as of last summer couldn't quite get it down to get around as fast as he wants!

So when I saw the super cool Mini Micro Kickboard, I knew it would be perfect for my son to get around on and easy enough for him to do - short legs or not!

The Mini Micro is the quality 3-wheel kick scooter with an award-winning Swiss design. Ideal for children ages 3-5, the Mini Micros's 3 wheels, low-to-the-ground deck, and gentle lean-and-steer handle bar all contribute to the stability that makes the Mini perfect for pre-schoolers and kindergarteners. The lean-and-steer design is what makes the mini unique and fun. Using their body weight to curve right and left, kids intuitively learn to 'surf the sidewalk', developing balance, coordination and motor skills.

The deck of the Mini is large enough for two little feet, so kids can easily switch from pushing with one foot, to just enjoying the glide. Kids love the foot brake positioned at the back of the deck - it looks just like the ones on the big kids' scooters. At 3.3 lbs, the Mini Micro scooter is lightweight so it's easy for kids to maneuver and for parents to pick up and carry whenever need be (it hangs nicely on the back of a stroller). Kids, and their parents, love the Mini for the way it provides hours of fun, while encouraging movement and exercise.

My son was so excited to try out his scooter (even if he had to do it inside since our sidewalks and streets are full of snow!). He has never rode anything like this before and easily caught on to how to steer, push off to make it go, and balance to stay upright! He absolutely LOVED riding on it and CAN'T wait for spring to ride it everyday outside!

It was very lightweight so he had no problem controlling it and it was the perfect height and length for him! Plus, he LOVES the green color - his favorite color!

The Mini Kickboard is constructed with 3 wheels for greater stability and control, allowing children to ride with confidence. The quality polyurethane wheels create the smooth and quite ride - a joy for both parents and children. The rear 'spoon' brake provides additional control for the rider.

If your child is looking for a fun ride on toy for going on-the-go as fast or as slow as they want, the Mini Micro Kickboard is PERFECT for pre-schoolers! It is so easy to ride, lightweight for carrying and handling, and the perfect size for your child!

Buy It: You can purchase the Mini Micro Kickboard for $84.99 from the Kickboard website.

BabySpa

Do you think about what you are putting on your baby's bodies every time you apply shampoo, body wash, or lotion on your baby or toddler? If not, you really should! And not just about what the scent is and if it smells good!

Your baby's skin absorbs everything you put on their skin and (depending on what is in the products you put on them) they could really be harming them!

So I am always trying to help you out by recommending great natural body products for your baby to keep them safe and healthy!

Today, I am featuring BabySpa, a line of all natural lotions, oils, shampoos etc. that cater to the specific needs of a growing child's skin physiology. These products match up with the different milestones of a child, such as crawling, walking and going to preschool, in order to better nourish their skin.

Made with the finest natural ingredients, including 5 ethnobotanicals (not available in any other baby skin care line), BabySpa nourishes the skin, reduces redness, meets baby's sensitive needs and makes for a great bonding experience between a mommy and her little one.

My favorite product for my toddler son is the STAGE TWO Tearless Shampoo, Body Wash & Moisturizer. It is a unique all-in-one formula created to gently cleanse and refresh your toddler’s hair and skin before or after a day full of outdoor activities.

Exclusive to their blend, ECOCERT® certified Nyamplung Oil moisturizes while acting as a natural SPF booster to help protect the skin against sun exposure. Invigorating Rosemary softens hair while Organic Aloe, Chamomile, and Calendula soothe the scalp. The 3-in-1 formula is rich in botanical emollients such as Shea Butter and Sweet Almond Oil to provide head to toe nourishment with a splash of our uplifting citrus scent.

I love that it is shampoo, body wash and moisturizer all in one so it saves time in the bath! :) Plus, I love the organic ingredients along with the lack of harmful ones (parabens, phthalates, sulfates, mineral oil, etc)!!

In 2011, IKEA US raised over $1 million through the sales of soft toys during the campaign period.
