There aren't many women that I have met that don't LOVEEEEE Little Women -whether it is the book, movie or both!

Little Women holds a very special place in my heart because I have 5 sisters and we have had many of the escapades that the sisters in Little Women have. My sisters and I have always loved to sit together and watch the original Little Women so when I saw that a modern day Little Women was coming out and I could get a chance to see it early, I was ecstatic!

I love that they have brought this movie back for new generations of sisters and close friends to enjoy and hopefully get them to read the original book if they haven't!!

My overall thoughts of the movie??

Well, I have to say it doesn't beat the original Little Women movie, sadly. I had high hopes but it just didn't cover all the story lines that we have come to love and expect from the book and original movie.

However, it was still funny - I laughed out loud at many parts - and still took me through the many emotions that Little Women always does - sadness, nostalgia, happiness, and laughter! But at the end, I just didn't feel quite content. The actresses didn't quite reach the bar set by the first one and the storyline just seemed lacking and jumped around between time periods in the girls' life too much.

Overall, I still recommend the movie to all because it is just one of those things that you MUST experience in life with a mother, sister or close friend! But afterwards, definitely go watch the original and read the book!

Who DOESN'T LOVE Melissa McCarthy??! She may be my favorite comedian and there has never been a movie of hers that I didn't like!!! She is SOOOO Funny!

So when I saw she had another movie coming out, Life of the Party, I HAD to see it..especially when I saw the plot line. Being a mom myself that went back to college after having kids, I knew I would love this new movie of hers too!

And I was right! It had all the right parts - super funny, some serious, some sentimental and just overall the same old hilarious Melissa McCarthy doing what she does best - making people laugh while sending a good message - never give up on your dreams! If you need a mood lifter this week, for sure check out Life of the Party for some good laughs...and a trip down memory lane of your good ole' college days! 😉

I LOVE a good romance movie and I am also a big fan of Jana Kramer so this movie made me so happy! I also love the strong family theme because family means so much to me - this movie is a must see!

This movie was one of my favorite comedies of the year and it is definitely one I will watch many times! It is definitely only appropriate for adults and I recommend it mostly for the married ones! :)

Veterans Day is coming up next week and there is no better way to celebrate all amazing and heroic veterans than by watching this amazing movie, Faith of Our Fathers, by the studio that brought us the great movie, God's Not Dead.

About the movie:

John Paul and Wayne are two young men in search of their fathers. Problem is...their fathers have been dead for 25 years. Eddie and Steven are two young men in search of their sons...whom they've never met. In 1969, Eddie and Steven are with their squad deep in the jungle of Vietnam on a five-day mission to retrieve fallen comrades. They write letters to their wives, often mentioning their love for their sons, one, who is an infant and one yet to be born. In 1994, John Paul and Wayne go on a five day road trip to the Vietnam Wall in Washington DC to see their fathers' names. Along the way, reading those letters, they begin to get an understanding of who their fathers were and how they died. Trials and mishaps, both funny and sad, complicate the road trip for the boys. The horrors of war and the testing of faith manifest themselves for the young men in Vietnam. Ultimately, in parallel stories - 25 years apart - the fathers and sons are bound together forever.

I really liked God's Not Dead so I really wanted to check out Faith of Our Fathers. I love a movie that has quality and a great story line without all the language, violence and junk that is in so many movies these days. I really appreciated that this was just a wholesome, well-made drama that had a great story line without having to be rated R.

Although I didn't love it as much as some of the other Christian movies that have come out lately (War Room, God's Not Dead, Fireproof), it still had a great message, made me tear up a little and is really a great movie for anyone who knows or had someone in a war or has had to travel that emotional journey having a veteran in their life.

While I have to say that I didn't like this second one as must as the first, it is still really funny and has a great cast of talented and funny actors and actresses!
