Looking for a unique movie and dinner experience rolled together? Then you have got to check out Alamo Drafthouse! I recently visited my local one here in the Twin Cities and it was such a fun experience!!

We recently saw the last Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker movie and ate dinner there. It was our first time and we were pretty impressed! I love that there are tables AND the seats still recline!!!

They even had some Star Wars themed drinks and food that we tried!

The service was great! You just write down what you want to order on a paper and stick it in a holder and then the waitstaff quietly and quickly grabs the paper and brings the food.

The popcorn bowls were my favorite thing! They were refillable and came in big stainless steel bowls just like I would eat in at home!

Warning...their food is expensive and we were disappointed that they were out of several drinks for the day already at 7:30pm. But you definitely pay for the experience and you save gas from driving from restaurant to movie theater - you get it all in one!

There aren't many women that I have met that don't LOVEEEEE Little Women -whether it is the book, movie or both!

Little Women holds a very special place in my heart because I have 5 sisters and we have had many of the escapades that the sisters in Little Women have. My sisters and I have always loved to sit together and watch the original Little Women so when I saw that a modern day Little Women was coming out and I could get a chance to see it early, I was ecstatic!

I love that they have brought this movie back for new generations of sisters and close friends to enjoy and hopefully get them to read the original book if they haven't!!

My overall thoughts of the movie??

Well, I have to say it doesn't beat the original Little Women movie, sadly. I had high hopes but it just didn't cover all the story lines that we have come to love and expect from the book and original movie.

However, it was still funny - I laughed out loud at many parts - and still took me through the many emotions that Little Women always does - sadness, nostalgia, happiness, and laughter! But at the end, I just didn't feel quite content. The actresses didn't quite reach the bar set by the first one and the storyline just seemed lacking and jumped around between time periods in the girls' life too much.

Overall, I still recommend the movie to all because it is just one of those things that you MUST experience in life with a mother, sister or close friend! But afterwards, definitely go watch the original and read the book!

After watching the trailer and behind the scenes clips, I am absolutely in LOVE with this new movie, out in theaters November 17th! I cannot wait to bring my whole family and watch this funny, inspirational movie about the true meaning of Christmas!!!

I love that they base this movie off the perceptions of the animals that surrounded Jesus and his birth. How fun and interesting for kids (and parents!) to think about this Christmas! It looks like such a great way to spend some family time this holiday season and I can't wait to go!!!!

Some of my favorite memories growing up were our yearly summer vacations and road trips. It was always a little stressful, but the bonding, laughter and memories has stuck with me over many, many years! Now, I am making my own family memories with my family of five on our yearly summer road trips!
