Change the World & Fight Germs with SoapBox Soaps!

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

Best way to fight and defend yourself from a spring cold or flu?

WASH HANDS WITH SOAP!!!

It seems like such a simple concept but one that often gets forgotten about or missed during a busy day...especially with children!

Another thing most families don't know is how important it is to know what ingredients are IN YOUR SOAP! There can be many ingredients in many soaps that you DON'T want ON your child's or your skin and it is important to be aware of safe ingredients in soap and body care products!

One company I have recently fallen in love with and trusted to take care of the germs in our house SAFELY is SoapBox! SoapBox’s products are made in the USA, and are free from EDTA, parabens, petrochemicals, sulfates, gluten, palm oil, and are certified vegan and non-GMO

They care about our skin BUT they also care about others! For every purchase, SoapBox donates a bar of soap or a month of clean water to a person in need! Each of their products has a Hope Code, a unique code that you can enter into the website and see where your donation went! That is so fun!

Plus, SoapBox Soaps has just released brand new bar soaps to their line of 1-for-1 soaps, haircare, and body washes! The newest bar soaps feature the amazing scents you love and expect from the do-good brand, with the good-for-skin ingredients that nourish and moisturize. Lather up with their Sea Minerals (for a thorough, deep clean), or Coconut Oil (for smooth, beautiful hands) bar soaps.

Another one of my favorite products are their SoapBox Elements soaps and Body Washes, especially the SoapBox Elements Lemongrass Liquid Hand Soap! They are just so refreshing and smell amazing! I look forward to using it every time not only for the safe, healthy ingredients but the refreshing smell uplifts me every time!

Brewed with aloe vera, coconut oil, olive oil, and essential oils, this soap exfoliates without stripping your skin, leaving it smooth and beautiful, just like Mother Nature intended. It is Non-GMO, Vegan, B Corp, EDTA Free, Gluten Free, Palm Oil Free, Paraben Free, Petrochemical Free, 100% Recyclable Materials, Made in the USA, and Sulfate Free!

So take care of germs, your body AND OTHERS with SoapBox soaps!

Walmart & Pampers Team Up for Donation to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals & Giveaway

This post is sponsored by P & G. All opinions are mine.

One of the biggest fears of any parent is having their child be afflicted by a serious illness. Even small illness or injuries can cause so much stress, anxiety and cost.

But there are so many great organizations out there these days to help parents and children that have are going through injuries and illnesses and one of those great orgnanizations is Children's Miracle Network Hospitals!

Whether a child suffers from common childhood afflictions like asthma and broken bones, or fight bigger challenges like birth defects or cancer, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals provide comfort, treatment and hope to millions of sick kids.

To show support for the organization and the one in 10 kids in North America who are treated by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals each year, Walmart and Pampers have teamed up to donate $200,000 in the month of June!

Additionally, by purchasing products like Pampers Swaddlers at your local Walmart, portions of the proceeds will go to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Check out the story of a local boy here in Minnesota that really touched my heart:

Michael

Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare
Apert Syndrome
Age 9 (as of 11/30/14)

A favorite among his school peers, “delightfully mischievous” Michael was born with Apert syndrome, a rare genetic disorder causing birth defects such as abnormal head and limb development.
At just 5 months old, Michael underwent major surgery to expand and reshape his skull to make room for his developing brain. Thirteen more surgeries followed, including procedures to adjust his jaw and separate his fused fingers and toes. With so many treatments, Michael’s mom dubbed medical terminology as the family’s “third language” in addition to the English and Spanish they already speak.
Michael has a bright future thanks to his continued treatment and surgeries at Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare. Michael enjoys playing guitar, drums and recorder and can’t wait to show off his skills at school music concerts. He also likes to ride bikes and play soccer. Recently, Michael joined the Boy Scouts and is excited to be a Cub Scout.
One in 10 kids in North America is treated by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals each year and your support helps provide 32 million patient visits for 10 million kids every year!

So head on over and visit Walmart.com/cmnh for more information and to make your own donation!

And if you have a personal story to share about your journey with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, I would LOVE To hear it!

Wine and dine your family and friends while giving back this holiday season through Gallo Family Vineyards' Every Cork Counts program, an initiative that supports Meals On Wheels Association of America and its mission to end senior hunger.

Now in its 5th year, Gallo Family Vineyards hopes to make its biggest donation to the organization yet. The Winery has already donated $100,000 in 2014 and hopes to ramp up efforts to finish the year strong by enlisting you and your readers to assist in raising an additional $50,000. With the holiday season and the height of entertaining just around the corner, giving back to help the nearly 8.9 million seniors who face the threat of hunger is as easy as popping the top to a bottle of any great-tasting Gallo Family Vineyards wine during all your upcoming celebrations.

For each cork returned to the Winery via text, email or mail through December 31, 2014, a $1 donation will be made to Meals On Wheels Association of America (specifics on the return process included below). Gallo Family Vineyards Every Cork Counts Campaign

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

With wine being such a big part of holiday entertaining, Gallo Family Vineyards offers an easy way to give back to the community by helping Meals On Wheels Association of America with its goal to end senior hunger. For the 4th year in a row, the Gallo Family Vineyards® Every Cork Counts™ campaign makes giving back as easy as uncorking a bottle of one of its 16 great-tasting, affordable wines.

According to a Gallo Family Vineyards survey, Americans uncork an average of six bottles of wine during the holidays. For the fourth year in a row, those leftover corks can make a difference for a great cause. Taking part in the Every Cork Counts campaign is as easy as uncorking a bottle of one of Gallo Family Vineyards' delicious wines and mailing in the cork.

For every Gallo Family Vineyards cork collected through December 31, 2013, Gallo Family Vineyards will donate $5 to Meals On Wheels with a maximum donation of $100,000. Additionally, fans of the winery can raise another $10,000 with a fun online game at www.EveryCorkCounts.com. With an army of nearly two million volunteers who work in their Senior Nutrition Programs, the organization is able to deliver one million meals a day to help combat the more than 8.8 million seniors who face the threat of hunger.

Over the past three years, Gallo Family Vineyards has collected thousands of corks and donated more than $225,000 to support the needs of seniors in communities across the country.

I love Gallo Family Vineyards and their wine - they have such a great variety and I love how they are giving back this holiday season!
