Make a Pledge to Close Your Nutritional Gap & Help Cure Nutritional Poverty with @MegaFood

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

One of our family's annual New Year's Resolutions is to continue to be healthy, eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle.

One way we do this is by taking daily vitamins and using them preventatively. I am so proud to be already fulfilling my goals with the help of MegaFood vitamins. With their help and their great vitamins, I am closing our nutritional gap this year.

We have always taken vitamins and nutritional supplements but one item that really stood out to me and has already made a huge impact in our lives is their Turmeric Strength™ For Whole Body which maintains a healthy inflammation response. My husband has suffered from back pain and after taking this supplement for a couple days, his pain has majorly lessened! Plus, my son also has some "growing pains" and has lesser symptoms taking the Turmeric as well!

MegaFood also is making a pledge to close your nutritional gap and to help cure nutritional poverty. In a nutshell, for every pledge they receive (consumers can pledge by clicking a button on their webpage once launched!), they’ll be donating a bottle of MegaFood Multivitamins to those in need. All pledgees will receive a $5 off coupon toward a purchase of any MegaFood Multivitamin and will be entered to win a year’s supply of MegaFood Multivitamins and a trip to a wellness retreat. Check out the pledge page here: https://megafood.com/megapledge/

Plus, MegaFood has an upcoming Facebook Live taking place on February 7th. The Facebook Live will be their official pledge launch and will be filled with broadcasts from some very special guests! Details can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/271606666589742/

@ScottiesTissues Welcomes The Homeless Into Permanent Housing

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

There is nothing greater amid the turmoil and uncertainty in our country today than starting out the New Year with a great story about generosity and love for others. Check out the beautiful account below!

January was a great month for 100 homeless people in Boston who are now living in permanent supportive housing thanks to the generosity of The Pine Street Inn. The Pine Street Inn is the largest resource for the homeless in the state of Massachusetts. They provide emergency shelters for the homeless, have street teams, they offer job placement programs as well as many other resources.

In a partnership with Scotties Facial Tissues, the new residents were welcomed into their new homes with comfort care packs. In an effort to kick off 2017 with a worthy cause, Scotties provided each of the 100 residents with a queen-sized fleece blanket, warm slipper socks, a mug with hot cocoa and marshmallows, and of course boxes of soft Scotties tissues! These small gifts of comfort can be just what may be needed to turn a house into a home. For so many homeless people, who have not had a room of their own for a long time, this acted as one small step in their journey to a better life for themselves.

Maria, who has lived in her beautiful home for the last three months was previously homeless. She has made her home her own by beautifully decorating it in the style of her native home, Columbia. She is eager to put the Scotties blanket to use this winter!

This story is a great reminder that people who show love and generosity for others - even strangers - are still out there! I LOVE it!

Gallo Family Vineyards Every Cork Counts Campaign

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

With wine being such a big part of holiday entertaining, Gallo Family Vineyards offers an easy way to give back to the community by helping Meals On Wheels Association of America with its goal to end senior hunger. For the 4th year in a row, the Gallo Family Vineyards® Every Cork Counts™ campaign makes giving back as easy as uncorking a bottle of one of its 16 great-tasting, affordable wines.

According to a Gallo Family Vineyards survey, Americans uncork an average of six bottles of wine during the holidays. For the fourth year in a row, those leftover corks can make a difference for a great cause. Taking part in the Every Cork Counts campaign is as easy as uncorking a bottle of one of Gallo Family Vineyards' delicious wines and mailing in the cork.

For every Gallo Family Vineyards cork collected through December 31, 2013, Gallo Family Vineyards will donate $5 to Meals On Wheels with a maximum donation of $100,000. Additionally, fans of the winery can raise another $10,000 with a fun online game at www.EveryCorkCounts.com. With an army of nearly two million volunteers who work in their Senior Nutrition Programs, the organization is able to deliver one million meals a day to help combat the more than 8.8 million seniors who face the threat of hunger.

Over the past three years, Gallo Family Vineyards has collected thousands of corks and donated more than $225,000 to support the needs of seniors in communities across the country.

I love Gallo Family Vineyards and their wine - they have such a great variety and I love how they are giving back this holiday season!

Buy It: You can purchase all Gallo Family Vineyards wine at your local spirits retailer.

Seed. Sprout. Grow.

I not only love to share great organic companies and organic products with you, but even better is when these great organic companies give back and strive to make a difference for the less fortunate in our world and make a difference in people's lives!

I am happy to share with you that one of our family's favorite organic bread companies, Rudi's Organic Bakery is one of those awesome companies giving back! Rudi’s Organic Bakery is paying homage to its entrepreneurial roots through a microloan program with Kiva, a nonprofit organization with a mission to connect people across the globe through lending to alleviate poverty.

Rudi’s Organic has set a goal to loan $25,000 to 25 entrepreneurs in 25 days. The amazing stories behind these entrepreneurs inspired us to create a Facebook application entitled, “Seed. Sprout. Grow.” Through this application, fans can select an entrepreneurial story that inspires them and ‘share’ it on Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest. It’s pretty simple - for every story shared, Rudi’s will loan $5 until they’ve reached the $25,000 goal.

They would LOVE your help in reaching this goal! Simply visit the ‘Seed. Sprout. Grow.’ application and select an entrepreneur whose story touches you and share with your readers. For each share that your post receives, Rudi’s will also loan $5!

You can track the shares and loans on the heart-shaped ‘giving meter’ which is updated weekly within the app. Fans who want to loan more can join Team Rudi’s Organic on the Kiva website and loan additional funds in the dollar amount of their choice.

This program was in part inspired by the introduction of Rudi’s Organic’s new Super Seeded and Sprouted Breads, which offer super nutrition without sacrificing the flavor and soft texture of Rudi’s Organic breads the whole family has come to enjoy. Keep an eye out for the $1 off coupon for any Rudi’s Organic product inside the Facebook app!

So make a difference in an entrepeneur's life and start sharing their stories today!
