Make a sweet Valentine’s Day Craft with Wonderful Halos

A product was given for review from Wonderful Halos for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

My kids LOVE to make crafts so when I saw that they could make a cute craft out of one of their favorite snack, Wonderful Halos mandarins, I knew they would REALLY LOVE it!

Wonderful Halos mandarins are sweet, seedless, easy-to-peel snacks both kids and parents love and they are so easy to eat on the go or around the house!

And now you can even use them to make crafts - How Fun! These little Halos love bugs take just minutes to assemble, but the joy on your recipients’ faces when they see them will be more than worth it.

Check out directions for the family-friendly, DIY Valentine’s Day craft, the “Halos Love Bugs.” below:

What you need:
  • Halos mandarins
  • Foam hearts in two sizes, large and small
  • Toothpicks
  • Googly eyes
  • Glitter glue
  • Glue spots
  1. Using glue spots, adhere a large foam heart underneath the Halos mandarin to create feet. They stick out like a sweet pair of sneakers!
  2.  Insert clean toothpicks into two smaller foam hearts (or if the foam hearts are thin, use a sticky dot on the back of the foam heart) and then insert the toothpicks into the top of the Halos mandarin next to each other to serve as lovey-dovey antennae.
  3. Use the glue spots once more to attach the googly eyes to the front of your love bug. You can use big, close-together googly eyes for an inquisitive-looking love bug or smaller, further apart ones for a thoughtful little dude. Or try different shapes for a goofy one!
  4. Then, use glitter glue to make a cute little button nose.
There you have it, the sweetest afternoon treat for Valentine’s Day!

These are perfect for class parties or to bag up to give to classmates as gifts. Have a Halos Love Bug crafting get-together, the perfect activity to engage a whole bunch of kids during a February play date. You could even add hair, arms and miniature love bug clothing, or try to make love bugs reflecting you and your friends’ own personalities. They could also make great gifts from the kids to their teachers, grandparents, aunts, uncles or neighbors. Share the love!

Way to My Heart Chocolate Raspberry Delight

INGREDIENTS

  1. FIBER ONE™ 90 CALORIE CHOCOLATE FUDGE BROWNIE
  2. 1 TBSP. FROZEN FAT-FREE WHIPPED TOPPING, THAWED
  3. 2 TBSP. LIGHT RASPBERRY YOGURT
  4. 1 TSP. WHITE CHOCOLATE CURLS OR SHAVINGS

DIRECTIONS

Roses are red, violets are blue. If you want my heart, this dessert will more than do. Cut a heart shape from the brownie using a 2 inch cookie cutter. While eating the scraps, spoon whipped topping on a plate and top with yogurt. Delicately drop the brownie on the yogurt and sprinkle with white chocolate curls. This brownie will always love you.
