Organize Your Kid Clutter with One Step Ahead

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

How do little kids make such big messes?

That is the question my husband and I ask ourselves every day as we continue to clean the same messes and toys that we picked up yesterday (and the day before that and the day before that!).

But, as we have learned over the last 6 years of being parents, getting organized is easier with the right storage solutions.

In the last couple weeks, we have really focused on organizing my kid's rooms. They each have books, toys and puzzles and they are usually all over the floor because we didn't have a great place for them...

Until I saw the great storage solutions that One Step Ahead has!

They have bookshelves and tables that are stylish and contemporary but most importantly kid-friendly, so they are safe and easy for clean up!

We received two great products from One Step Ahead that we now use every day to organize and keep the toys and clutter off the floors in my kids' rooms:

Kids' Sling Bookshelf with Storage Bins

I love to encourage my children to read, starting at a young age, so all my children have lots of books in their room! Now the problem is storing them in a convenient, stylish way and I found that with this Sling Bookshelf from One Step Ahead.

It displays books facing front, attracting my youngest son to ready the books and the shelf is short enough so he can also put them away himself.

We had a mess of different shelving units before and it just wasn't working (or probably safe...) as you can see below.

Before

 After!!

But now we are organized, everything has a spot and it is easy for my children to grab a book and put them away! Everything we had before fits nicely in this bookshelf and drawers - even his really big books!

I love that the shelves are anchored so they won't shift and are staggered in their depth to hold all size books. Plus, I LOVE the added two roomy storage bins for all his miscellaneous toys and puzzles. He can easily pull them out to get what he is looking for and shut them by himself!

It was super easy to put together and was ready to organize in minutes! It is made really well and you can tell it is high quality!

29 1/4"L x 13"W x 31"H. For 18 months and up.

KidKraft 2-in-1 Activity Table

And for my older son's room, we added the 2-in-1 Activity Table to help him organize his Legos, puzzles and crafts and have a steady, flat place to do all these things!

He is just starting to LOVE playing Legos and before he did them on the floor and they would end up everywhere. Plus, he loves to do puzzles and he had no flat place to do them.

Now he can do all of these and more on this activity table! One side is for Legos and the other side is flat and smooth for crafts and puzzles!

This Activity Play Table is sturdy and strong, giving young kids a perfect spot for letting their imaginations run wild. LEGO-compatible blocks - a whopping 200 in all - are included, so the good times can start right away.

I love how the play table keeps his bedroom more organized and it is the perfect height for all the children to play. I love the storage inside and the flat versatile space on top! My son's room is now so much more organized and clean!

All I can say is THANK YOU One Step Ahead for your great organizing solutions - my kids' rooms have never been so clean! :)

And make sure to check out One Step Ahead's new website and then give them feedback to make their new site in line with what moms need and the solutions they are looking for.

Keep the Toy Area & Books Organized with the @DeltaChildren PAW Patrol Bookshelf

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

These last couple months we have been really focused on organizing our house, especially the large amount of toys we have! :)

One way we recently organized and cleaned up my youngest son's toy area was by adding in the super cute but effective Delta Children PAW Patrol Bookshelf! It is a colorful mix of function and character and it helps create an organized and inspiring space. With four shelves to fit your child's books and treasures, it also features graphics of everyone's favorite canines, Chase, Marshall and Zuma, on the sides.

This shelf is small but it makes it the perfect size for my toddler. He can reach to the top shelf safely and put in his own toys and books himself. It has really helped us get his toys off the floor and in an organized place. He loves the cute PAW Patrol dogs on the side and top and the colors are fun and colorful.

BEFORE

AFTER

It was fairly easy to assemble and is easily moved around because it is pretty lightweight. It is a cute, small and effective way to keep the toy area sorted, organized and picked up and I am loving it right along with my son! :)

Other features:

• Recommended for ages 3-6
• Features 4 shelves
• Made of engineered wood
• Durable and easy-to-clean finish

Stay Organized this School Year with Calendars.com!

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

With Back to School season starting, everybody in the family gets REALLY busy and it is more important than ever to get organized and find an organization method that works for you and your family!

For me, I organize effectively with a calendar! It is hung in a prominent area in our kitchen where everyone can look at, see what is going on that week and month and add in their activities! It keeps us organized and ready for whatever comes that week!

This year, I am staying organized with the great calendars from Calendars.com. They are the largest online retailer of calendars in the world, has more than 17,000 products online including the hottest games, toys, puzzles and gifts, and of course calendars, planners, accessories, and more.

Back-To-School is the second busiest season of the year for Calendars.com. It's a great organizational source for kids, moms, and teachers alike.

I found two great calendars that are going to keep us organized this school year:

The Kids Awesome Activity Wall Calendar 2016

This is the colorful and completely interactive activity calendar for girls and boys, designed to spark creativity and celebrate the joy of DIY.

Each month, the Kid's Awesome Activity Calendar delivers a lively--but unfinished--scene rife with artistic possibility. Kids will be inspired to make it their own through coloring, drawing, and decorating with over 300 included stickers. Draw an alien spaceship in March. Help a hedgehog find his way to school in September. And, in October, visit a Monster Salon to give mummies, werewolves, and vampires cool hairdos. Parents and kids can mark important dates together, making the calendar fun for the whole family.

This calendar features:

• Comes with 300 stickers designed to complete each month's picture and mark important events
• Includes write-and-erase magnetic rewards chart
• Store stickers and other materials in drop-down pocket

This calendar is perfect for my kids to hang in their playroom and they get to complete the picture each month!

Mom's Home Christian Plan-It Plus Wall Calendar 2016

Keep it all organized with the Mom's Christian Plan-It Plus Wall Calendar. The Plan-It Plus offers 20% more planning space than our plan-it Classic which gives even more space to manage your hectic schedules. It comes with a magnetic weekly whiteboard, reminder stickers, a storage pocket! Perfect for busy moms!

This calendar features:

• August 2015-December 2016
• Includes 442 event and reminder stickers
• Comes with a weekly whiteboard to keep track
• Includes a magnetic hanger and a standard hanger

This calendar will be hanging in my kitchen organizing our family this year! I really love the storage pocket and the reminder stickers!

Get ALL Those Pictures Organized with Ruly!

This post is brought to you by getruly.com. All opinions are mine!

I will admit it...I am a picture taking fanatic! I just love to capture moments of all kinds, whether they are funny, sad, memorable, milestones, or just everyday life! I want to have pictures of all kinds to look back on of my kids and my family and to show them when they are older. Let's face it. My memory isn't getting any better as I get older so pictures really help tell a story!

So what does this mean for me? Well, I have pictures everywhere! My husband always makes fun of me for how many pictures I have on my computer and phone at all times. I have memory sticks full of pictures, previous computers full of pictures and my phone is usually maxed out!

And the worst part is none of them are organized and it has only got worse the more kids I have! :)

So who do I turn to when I need some picture organizing help???

How about a great company that I just learned about called Ruly!

They are an AMAZING company that makes tech jobs for women living in poverty who then organize and edit my messy photo library!

I just love how they are helping others while helping me and, in turn, I am helping others when I get help!!!

Ruly uses a combination of technology & a highly trained human workforce built in partnership with Digital Data Divide.

How?

Ruly links to customers' photos through their cloud storage service. Then they get to work. First, they assess every photo to separate out the “Klutter” & identify “Keepers.”

What’s Klutter? They're the photos that don't pass technical & photographic criteria. For example:

• Unnecessary duplicates

• Out of focus, greatly under- or over-exposed

• Mistake shots

• Embarrassing facial expressions

The Keepers are all your good shots; everything that's left after the Klutter is separated. Typically about 65-70% of photos are Klutter!

Once the Keepers are identified, Ruly finds the Highlights and edits them so they look great. These are the really fun shots because they tell a story and have the best photographic qualities.

Lastly, Ruly aggregates all the Highlights from the year into a folder called Annual Highlights. This might be their coolest feature, because it makes end-of-the-year photo projects really easy. Many customers like to make annual family photo books or holiday gifts. Ruly puts all the Highlights in one spot and they're edited and completely ready for creative projects!

How Much Does This Awesome Service Cost?

Ruly uses a fee-for-service model. Their primary service is the monthly subscription plan. With this service, Ruly automatically processes photos twice/month. This is designed to keep your photos Ruly as you take them throughout the month. The cost is $12.99/mo. for 300 photos or $3.99/mo. for 100 photos.

Their second option is a Batch Service. It’s designed to process large batches of historical photos that were never organized. For this service, Ruly charges 8-10¢ per photo depending on quantity.

And it is ALWAYS Secure!

Ruly has multiple layers of security to ensure our customers’ privacy is always protected. First, Ruly is built to work with customers’ Dropbox service, so the multiple layers of security built into Dropbox is still at work for Ruly customers. This includes physical, technical, and heuristic security measures to protect user information from unauthorized access. Nobody - including other Dropbox or other Ruly users - can view photo files unless the customer deliberately shares them.

Additionally, our overseas offices are "no-save" facilities, meaning the computers used by our photo specialists cannot save or forward files. USB ports on these machines are disabled and they are not connected to the Internet. Also, photo specialists are not allowed to have camera-enabled devices while at work. This way, files are isolated from saving/distributing technologies and remain secure throughout the Ruly process.

For more information on Ruly make sure to visit www.getruly.com.
