I am currently nursing at night with my son so I have to wear a supportive nursing tank each night to bed. My nursing tank of choice is the Nursing Bra Long tank from Glamourmom and I have worn it for the last 3 years since my daughter was born and nursing at night. I have worn it pregnant, not pregnant, nursing and not nursing.

It is my pajama choice at night because it is so comfortable, easy to put on and off and is supportive for my larger chest size. The only thing I don't like about the tank version is the clasp. It is made to sit flush and not be bulky which I love but it is also kind of hard to undo and re-clasp with one hand, in the dark and being very overtired. It makes it better for wearing under clothes and out and about and not so much to wear at night.

But then I tried out the Nursing Bra Long Top w/Adjustable Chest Band and I love EVERY. SINGLE. THING. about this top. The hook closures is super easy to clasp on and off and great for easy, one-handed access!

When I first started nursing with my first child, there were two things that drove me crazy and made nursing very frustrating: 1) Finding clothes that were both comfortable and allowed me to nurse in 2) Not exposing my skin, sides and stomach when nursing, especially right after giving birth!

Undercover Mama has come up with a great solution with their undershirts and they are constructed of quality material and are made to last. Your Undercover won't bunch up, slide around, or ball up after washing. They fit where you need them to while keeping you covered in style. The generous length allows you to tuck it in or go for a layered look.

You attach Undercover Mama shirts to the outer flap of a top-opening nursing bra by sliding each hook onto the flap a little below the clasp. Usually it will slide on just below the seam where the bottom of the clasp is sewn to the bra. You want to push enough material into the hook so it is snug. On most bras you can slide the hook clear on so that the entire width is inside the hook, but even if the strap is too wide to fit completely in, it still works just fine. You can also slip the hook of the Undercover Mama on to the strap of your bra instead of the flap. Keep in mind with this option you will need to unhook the Undercover Mama each time you nurse.

I received two of these great Loving Moments bras to try out: the Molded Wirefree Nursing Bra and the Seamless Bralette Nursing Bra. They were both super comfortable and affordable: the perfect combination for any new mom!

Molded Wirefree Nursing Bra

This soft, molded wirefree nursing bra with lace neckline is great for fitted tops. The Polyester/Spandex blend allows for a smooth comfortable fit. Anita International

One thing I have definitely learned over the span of my last two children is that it is REALLY difficult to find comfortable and flattering lingerie while pregnant and nursing! One thing I was still searching for is a good underwire nursing bra for the days I want a little boost for my "babies". :) I had yet to find one that is comfortable, fits well and works with nursing my daughter.

I also received two great pairs of their super comfy briefs! I have also had trouble in the past with having underwear be comfortable in that last trimester of pregnancy. These briefs from Anita International solve that problem because the stretch and grow with your growing body! Plus, they give great coverage on the back! :)

And since my daughter definitely spits up a lot (and on everything in sight!), I am so glad this cover is machine washable for easy cleaning!!

Sleep and Nurse Comfortably with the Essential Nursing Tank!

Having a comfortable nursing tank for wearing and nursing at night has been essential for me!

Do you wear a nursing tank at night, like I do??

For me, it has been the most comfortable and supportive clothing I can wear at night! I can easily nurse when I am half asleep and they are so supportive for full nursing breasts!!

However, sometimes it is hard to find everything I want in ONE single nursing tank! I have a couple nursing tanks that each have something I like about them....good support with one, nice straps with another, easy to unclip and clip nursing clips....I just want ONE good one that has it all!

My latest tank to try out (and cross my fingers it had it all!) was the Essential Nursing Tank from Bravado Designs!

What I Love:

This tank is the most supportive one I own and I love that it has  an actual bra built in because I can use all the support I can get! I love that I don't have to wear a different nursing bra underneath when wearing in public! The only thing I wish for is that it came in C/D size instead of B/C or D/DD because I am a C/D and the B/C is just a tad bit small for me. 

• Long in length: I love wearing this tank everywhere because it is really slimming and is easy to nurse in public because it provides tummy coverage where I need it. It fits great in all the right places!

• Maternity Tank and a Nursing Tank: Fabric gently stretches while retaining its shape after washing. A two for one value as you can wear it as a maternity tank while pregnant and then continue to wear it as a nursing tank while breastfeeding.
• Cotton Nursing Tank: Soft, high-quality cotton/spandex outer fabric isn’t see through, even in white! I do own the white tank so I can definitely attest to this! It is not see through so I can wear it anytime!! The straps are pretty skinny which means they do dig into my shoulders a little more than my other tanks with wider straps.

• Full Access: Cups unclip at the shoulder and drop down and away from your body to give baby full access to your breast, providing you and your baby with skin-to-skin contact which is essential, specially when establishing a breastfeeding rhythm. I love how I don't have to maneuver my breasts through a tiny nursing hole!
• Discreet Nursing Clips: These unique nursing clips allow full breastfeeding access and only you will know this is a nursing tank. They don't stick out if you wear a shirt over it. However, they can not be clipped one-handed like I wish they did! This is the first time I have seen clips like this so it took me a couple minutes to figure out how they worked. But once I got the hang of it, they were easy enough to do!

I am finding the more I get out with my new daughter, the more I am LOVING nursing clothing! I have a hard enough time nursing my daughter without having to worry about what I am going to wear, will it allow me to nurse easily and discreetly, and is it cute.

I have never owned a double layer nursing top before so I was really excited to try this kind of nursing top. Most of mine are all pull down from the top or half way up the shirt.

The consensus??? I LOVE IT!!! I really like the double layer nursing shirt because there is a layer to cover your stomach and sides while nursing and it is really easy to lift up and get access to your chest area to nurse!

The material of this shirt is SO soft and comfortable! It is loose so I don't have to worry about my extra baby pounds and bumps showing through and I love wearing it everywhere!!! It is lightweight and super cute so it is perfect to wear all summer - dressed up with leggings or casual with shorts or capris!

Belly Dance Maternity Tank Review

I like to be comfortable while I sleep so I prefer to wear a supportive tank top and shorts or comfy pants to bed! Now that I am nursing, it has become a littler more of a challenge to find a supportive AND easy to nurse tank top! I have been on the mad search lately to find one because I do not want to mess with lifting my shirt every time I nurse at night!

I finally found one from Belly Dance Maternity! I love the name of their store and I love that they are from the nearby city of Chicago! They not only carry a great selection of nursing items, but super cute maternity clothing as well! As a pioneer in the newly chic maternity market, owner Jennifer Strom Simonte wanted to provide the ultimate collection for women who do not want to sacrifice their style when expecting. Belly Dance does extensive research and partners with designers to provide customers with an assortment to meet many tastes at a broad range of prices, including exclusive pieces.

I received the Glamourmom Nursing Bra Long Tank to try out! I own the Glamourmom Maternity Tank and I loved how supportive it was throughout my pregnancy! But I always hated knowing that once I was done being pregnant and needed to nurse easily, I was going to have to store away my Maternity Tank!

Then I found the Glamourmom Nursing Bra Long Tank from Belly Dance Maternity and I knew I had found a match made in heaven! It is Glamourmom's popular nursing tank with a built-in nursing bra! It has a  longer length at bottom to make it even better and it is great for covering up the post-pregnancy belly and flattening it. I have found myself wearing it under most of my shirts to cover cleavage and belly. Plus, I wear it most nights to bed (Can you tell I have to wash it A LOT!). I love how supportive it is to my ample chest! I don't have to wear a bra underneath if I don't want to...and I don't get that chance to go bra-free a whole lot so I Love that!

It also features a nursing access with clasps that sit flush to the fabric and adjustable shoulder straps. If you need nursing pads, it has a light mesh liner holds nursing pads in place.

The only improvement I would make with this tank is with the nursing clasps! With two hands, I can easily open and close them. However, when you are holding a baby in one hand and trying to close the straps with one hand, I have found it to be really difficult...especially in the middle of the night, half asleep! I prefer the hook clasps that most nursing clothes have over this clasp that makes you fit them together like a puzzle piece from the side. I would definitely sacrifice the clasp lying flat for an easy to one-handed clasp!

Overall, I love the support this tank supplies and I recommend it for all nursing mothers - whether full chested or not! It works great under shirts and for bedtime for easy nursing access. Just be aware that it does have a nursing clasp that is different that most nursing shirts and I think it is a little harder to clasp one handed!
