Celebrate #InternationalBathDay with @HABA_usa & @LearningHandsOn Toys!

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

Today is International Bath Day and it is the perfect time to focus on the importance bath play and the effect it has on a child’s social, emotional and cognitive development during the ages of birth to three.

Parents are their child’s first and best teachers and every interaction a parent has with their baby is a new learning opportunity especially in the bath.

The bathtub serves as a classroom for your baby because they’re observing and exploring why bubbles pop when they touch them or how water splashes up when they move around. International Bath Day is the perfect day to celebrate these amazing “Aha!” discoveries of your little explorer. The following bath toys help with those discoveries and further build your child’s development with you by their side!

Fun Toys that Encourage Creativity & Imagination

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

Pretend play is the heart of childhood and one of the greatest ways a child learns. With imaginative play, kids are free to be anyone and do anything. They believe that anything is possible – because with pretend play, it really is! It is also one of my favorite activities to watch my children do because their personalities just come alive and I learn so much about them!

I am always looking for new toys to encourage my children's creativity and imaginations. Check out two of my new favorite pretend play products on the market:

One of my favorite things when my babies were little was carrying them in a baby carrier or wrap. My daughter watched me do that with her little brother and now she gets a chance with her baby thanks to the HABA’s Luca Baby Carrier and is LOVING it!

HABA’s Luca Baby Carrier is the perfect accessory for little “mommies” playing house. This cushioned carrying seat is for 15 inch HABA dolls and others of that size, and is made of washable polyester.

It rests comfortably around the child's neck with a simple and safe hook and loop fastener and it features an elastic front pouch for a secure hold. My daughter has never been prouder than she is when she is "wearing" her baby like her mommy did for her! Her proud smile is priceless!

For ages 18 months- 4 years. MSRP: $19.99. Available online at www.HABAusa.com

My children have been begging to take baths lately because they all want to play with the new Yookidoo® Submarine Spray Station!

With this fun spray station, your children can make bath time a nautical adventure! Its circulating pump system attaches to the bottom of the tub and draws water up through the yellow submarine into the diver shower head. Kids can squeeze the sides of the diver to make a gentle stream to create their own in-tub washing station, car wash or rainstorm.

This smart toy also encourages exploration of cause and effect and improves fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and problem solving skills. My children love spraying off the toys, watching the water spin the shapes on the station, and it has made my youngest scream a little less when he is getting washed! :)

For ages 2-6 years. MSRP: $29.95. Available online at www.Amazon.com

New Winning Moves Games & Giveaway

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

Games are a big deal in our house! We try to have a family game night at least once a week and the kids enjoying playing games with each other throughout the day too!

So when we are looking for more games to play, we look to Winning Moves! They are a leading maker of board games, card games, and puzzles. Since their first year of operation in 1995, they have forged a close relationship with one of the world's largest game companies, Hasbro, Inc., owner of Parker Brothers and Milton Bradley. As a result, many long-lived Parker Brothers and Milton Bradley games are now made exclusively by Winning Moves!

They have a couple new 2014 games that they just officially released and they have created hours of fun in our house lately!

TOURING

The first new card game is TOURING and it was first released way back in 1906 and is the original car racing card game. Players race across the States trying to rack up 400 miles.

Be first to finish the tour and you win! But look out, your opponents are ready to wreck your journey with penalty cards, like flat tire and more!

And now for something completely different…they have a new line of waterproof, washable, floating card games called Splash Cards. They can be played in the bathtub, in the pool, at the beach, in the hot-tub, and even on dry surfaces.

The  two games my kids are loving at bath time are SPLASHIMALS™ and SPLASH PALS™, which are geared for kids ages 2 and up.

SPLASH PALS™

Revolutionary cards that are waterproof, lightweight, washable and they float! Battle it out with an astronaut-Sump Wrestler with legs as delicate as a Ballerina or fight back with a Caveman-Mermaid with the brain of a Robot. Kids of all ages will enjoy making their own splash pals!

SPLASHIMALS™

Revolutionary cards that are waterproof, lightweight, washable and they float! Splashimals help make bath-time a fun and educational experience!

My kids love finding the matches and mixing them up too! They stick easily on the walls at bath time and easily come off when bath time is over! I love that!
