INLET by LivingPlug

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

September is Baby Safety Month and with three kids (and one brand new one!), I am always looking for new safety items to install in my house to make it safer and give me more peace of mind.

A new item that I was recently introduced to is the INLET by LivingPlug. It has redefined electrical outlet covers - it keeps little fingers safe, requires no installation and promotes energy conservation. Just launched, INLET is simple to install by plugging into existing outlets and will match any home décor thanks to wide variety of interchangeable faceplates.

This is such a great idea because it has so many different aspects that make it unique! Not only does it protect from little curious fingers but adds a third outlet plus a USB charger! Above it all, there are available interchangeable faceplates to personalize them and make them fit any decor!

The INLET features:

AESTHETICS

Enhances design

Interchangeable faceplate system will conceal, accent or make a statement – made to order with your image or from the LivingPlug Gallery

CHILD SAFETY

Prevents shocks and burns

Transforms an unguarded duplex outlet into a protected powersource with three Tamper Resistant (TR) receptacles and the option to further secure directly to a standard duplex outlet.

ENERGY CONSERVATION

Kills vampire charges

UNplug button eliminates charges from appliances which are plugged in, but not in use (can equal 15% of electric bill).

UTILITY

Does more

The duplex outlet has gone virtually unchanged for almost 100 years. INLET provides three TR receptacles plus a high capacity 2.1a USB charger

I absolutely LOVE the Lord is my Shepherd faceplate that I received for my INLET. It will fit in any room in our house and be a great reminder of our faith at the same time!

LivingPlug’s interchangeable faceplates bring aesthetics to your electrical outlet. Sliding onto the four pins on the INLET, faceplates can help conceal an outlet, highlight décor or make a statement in your living environment.

If you are looking to keep your children safe this month (and every month!) and gain an additional outlet, check out the INLET and personalize it with a faceplate!

Buy It: You can purchase the INLET and faceplates for $25 each from the Living Plug website.

The Philips AVENT DECT Monitor SCD570 delivers complete reassurance! It provides the most reliable connection and combines it with soothing features. While your baby is safe and well, you as a parent can experience a new level of comfort.

There are several features that really makes this a stand-out baby monitor and the one we are choosing to use with our third child after trying many other monitors throughout the years:

Zero Interference and Private Connection

• DECT technology guarantees zero interference and 100% privacy. DECT technology guarantees zero interference from any other transmitting product like other baby monitors, cordless phones and cell phones. Data encryption provides a secure and private connection, so you can be sure that you are the only one that can hear your baby.

Reassuring Crystal Clear Sound

• Hear every tiny giggle, gurgle and hic-up with perfect clarity. DECT technology provides high quality, crystal clear sound so you can hear your baby anytime.

Lullabies and Night Light

• Your baby may still be restless when you first put them to bed. Help soothe and calm your baby to sleep with the warm tranquil glow of the night light. There's nothing like a gentle lullaby to calm a restless baby. Select from five relaxing tunes, helping your baby to drift effortlessly to sleep in no time.

Temperature Sensor

• The temperature sensor with customized alert allows you to monitor the climate in baby's room. Your baby can't regulate its body temperature as well as you can and a slight change in temperature can make your baby restless. A customized temperature sensor will immediately alert you, through the digital display on the parent unit, if the climate in your baby's room changes

SANUS VLF220 Full-Motion Wall Mount & Baby Proofing Tips!

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

I can still remember back to my first child and when the crawling stage happened...my son WAS NOT a calm, relaxed, sit back and look around baby! In fact, he got into everything by four months old when he started crawling - knocking down lamps, hitting his head on sharp corners and pulling things off shelves! I very quickly learned to baby proof my house and prevent my son from injuries!

I am now onto my third child due in July and I am still baby proofing and learning about dangers around the house! The latest one that scares me is flat screen TV's! Due to increasing sizes and new ultra thin designs, today’s flat panel TVs can tip when bumped or pulled, causing them to topple off furniture, potentially causing injury or even death. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics study, more than 17,000 children – one every 30 minutes – are treated in emergency rooms across the country for TV related injuries every year. By following tips from celebrity interior designer Genevieve Gorder, and SANUS®, the #1 best selling TV mount brand in the United States, baby proofing can be a breeze.

Genevieve Gorder’s Baby Proofing Tips:

TV Safety is Mounting

o Little ones love to crawl, climb and explore; mount your TV to capitalize on square footage as this will instantly add a more open look to any room and ensure safety by putting this appealing device out of little arms’ length

o Ideal for any interior design layout, SANUS® offers a complete line of TV wall mounts including full motion, tilting and fixed position

Reduce Clutter

o While surrounding furnishings are sure to add elegance to the space, clutter is never a good look; amend complexities so the viewer is not distracted when watching TV and your baby is not met with obstacles, etc.

o Avoid placing remote controls or other items in places where little ones might be enticed to climb up or reach for them

Bye, Bye Furniture

o By placing your Roku, BluRay and cable box on a shelf on the wall or behind a mounted TV you eliminate the need for furniture altogether – which means more useful square footage, and the elimination of your makeshift, indoor jungle gym

“Dress Up” Your AV Accessories

o Find essential accessories for your AV system and its surrounding décor, such as the SANUS® cable tunnels to hide TV and power cords, at www.SANUS.com; this way choking hazards stay concealed and everything is perfectly accessorized and styled safely

In our house, we keep our children safe using the SANUS VLF220 Full-Motion Wall Mount for our 46" flat screen.

The SANUS VLF220 full-motion mount for 37" – 65" TVs up to 130 lbs / 59.09 kg is engineered for the easiest installation possible. The QuickConnect™ system allows the TV to snap onto the arm assembly with one easy movement and unlock with the push of a tab. The amazing FollowThru™ in-arm cable channel protects and completely conceals all cables without inhibiting movement, even through the elbow. Post-installation level adjustment allows the TV to “roll” up to 5º clockwise and counterclockwise to ensure it is perfectly level, and lateral shift makes it easy to center the TV on the wall, even with off-center studs.

Virtual Axis™ allows the TV to tilt up or down with the push of a finger, helping you reduce glare from lights or windows and find the perfect viewing angle. It contains universal mounting brackets.

• Full-motion mount extends, pans, tilts and swivels for easy viewing anywhere in a room
• FollowThru in-arm channel completely conceals and routes cables for a clean appearance
• Virtual Axis provides smooth tilt motion with the touch of a fingertip
• Post-installation leveling adjustments allow TV to be perfectly positioned after hanging
• Lateral shift allows TV to slide left and right for perfect placement, even with off-center studs

It allows our family to view the TV from all over the room no matter where we are sitting and it keeps our babies safe!!! LOVE IT!

Buy It: You can purchase the SANUS VLF220 Wall Mount from the Sanus website and from local retailers.

Evenflo Advanced Double Electric Breast Pump

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

Did you know September is National Baby Safety Month?

When most people think of safety, we probably think of safety when the baby starts to crawl, walk or even roll over. But there is a very important safety aspect you may be forgetting: nutritional safety, especially when it comes to breast milk. This liquid gold is one of nature’s purest forms of nourishment; however, the way a mom expresses her milk during pumping could affect its purity.

To keep your breast milk and your baby safe this month and every month, make sure to follow these precautions and tips:

• To prevent contamination, moms are advised not to share or buy used pumps
• Avoid ‘open system’ pump where there is no barrier between the milk collection bottle and the pumping mechanism. In these open systems, breast milk can be exposed to the air and bacteria, and can actually backup into the tubing and pump – areas that are difficult to clean and can become a breeding ground for bacteria, mold and viruses.
• Moms looking to buy a breast pump should invest in a closed-system like the high-quality, yet affordable, Advanced Double Electric Breast Pump by Evenflo. This pump features a PerfectlyPure™ closed-system design that prevents milk backup and keeps milk as pure as nature intended.

Evenflo® Advanced Double Electric Breast Pump features:

· PerfectPosition™ offers slouch-free pumping comfort
· AdvancedFit™ Flange System gives mom three sizes for perfect fit
· AdvancedControl™ with 32 settings allows mom to find perfect speed and suction
· PerfectlyPure™ closed-system design prevents milk backup and keeps milk as pure as nature intended
· Includes educational programming, a $60 value, access to a priceless resource for success
· Deluxe version includes: premium shoulder bag, ice packs, 4 milk storage bottles, thermal cooler, extra membranes
· Deluxe Plus version includes the shoulder bag, ice packs, 6 milk storage bottles, thermal cooler, plus a Manual Pump adaptor

Check out this video to learn more about the Evenflo® Advanced Double Electric Breast Pump and its parts!

As an added bonus, moms who purchase the new Evenflo Advanced Double Electric Breast Pump will also receive free access to International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Shari Criso’s full length, online educational programs ($60 value) – “Simply Breastfeeding”™ and “Breast Pumps and Briefcases™.” Rich with information and guidance from Criso’s 20+ years working one-on-one with breastfeeding moms, both programs address topics most relevant to nursing moms, and those planning to pump. Additional tools, such as video instructions for pump use can also be found on the newly launched Evenflo Feeding website: www.evenflofeeding.com.

I know from previous experience with both my children that a good breast pump is a MUST if you are a breastfeeding mother! I love that this Evenflo® Advanced Double Electric Breast Pump allows you to pump both sides at once to save time, it has three flange sizes for a perfect fit and painfree pumping, and it is easy to use!

Buy It: You can purchase Evenflo® Advanced Double Electric Breast Pump at evenflofeeding.com for a SRP $99.99, Deluxe SRP $129.99, and Deluxe Plus SRP $159.99

SNAILS Kids Nail Polish

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

I was so excited to have a daughter after my son because deep down I wanted to do all the girly things with her: shopping, playing dress up, dressing her up in cute clothes and shoes, and painting her nails!

But then I learned about and researched all the harmful ingredients in mainstream finger nail polishes and the dream of painting our nails together died. I was so freaked out about the Dibutyle Phythalate (DBP), Toluene and Formaldehyde found in most nail polishes and the polish remover too!

I had to give up my dream of giving my daughter cute little toenails until I recently learned about a great company, SNAILS! They are the first French-made chemical-free kids nail polish and it all started when a mum of two scoured the market for safe non-toxic nail polish to colour up the imaginative play of her little ones. She quickly found that such a product just didn't exist — so SNAILS was born.

There are so many great features about SNAILS that made me really excited to try them out:

Revolutionary three-ingredient formula — containing just water, acrylic polymer and non-toxic colorants, SNAILS is safe in its simplicity.

Totally water soluble — SNAILS washes off easily with simple soap and water, making harsh solvent-based remover a thing of the past.< /p>

Environmentally friendly — from biodegradable packaging and lead-free bottles, to a strict no animal testing policy.

Hypoallergenic — SNAILS is purely chemical, Paraben and toxin free, so little nails are kept safe, sound and splendidly coloured.

Vivacious colour choices — every SNAILS polish delivers glorious high-quality gloss and deliciously gentle fragrance.

I love that not only can my daughter now have cute toenails, but it can be wiped off at any time with only water and soap! She can not have carefree child’s play without any harmful chemicals and toxins. She can mix and match and start over again at any time (and so can mommy!) :)

I also love that besides the safe colors that they have also thought about safe packaging! Their packages are lead-free and made from only pure Italian glass bottles and are custom designed for kids! They are cutely packaged with a little bow so it is so fun for any girl!

And best of all they are Stain free! I never have to worry as I paint my daughter's or my toes about spills and stains! And forget colourful blemishes on clothes, carpet or floors. SNAILS Kids nail polish is entirely soluble, so it will wash off easily. (My husband can now stop giving me the evil eye as I paint my toe nails while sitting on the carpet!) :)

I love the three colors I received for review: Mrs. Carrot Head (that is actually orange below in the first bottle - not pink as it looks!), Raspberry Pie, Prince Frog. They are all so fun and SO SAFE! We can mix and match and wash it off at any time!

With the increasing popularity of safe nail polish, these products are now sold in 30 countries and the list keeps growing. And you can rest assured as you paint away: Their revolutionary patented formula contains just three main ingredients: water, acrylic polymer and non-toxic colorants and is paraben free.

Playing dress-up can now be thoroughly enjoyed without compromise. SNAILS Kids is committed to preserving the innocence and joy of children everywhere. Their safe kids’ nail polish range brings a new level of safety for the entire family.

Buy It: You can purchase SNAILS Kids nail polish from the SNAILS website.

Munchkin's New Safety Accessories & Giveaway

The exciting news in our house over the Christmas break is that our baby girl started crawling! I have mixed feelings about this development....Although, I am happy that she has hit this milestone, I also dislike the dangers that come with it! She has already started getting into EVERYTHING and ANYTHING! It is amazing how they only choose to play with the few things that they ARE NOT supposed to play with instead of the millions of toys they have lying right in front of them!

So who has come to my rescue? One of my favorite baby brands: Munchkin!

Munchkin, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of infant and toddler products, has recently launched a new line of safety accessories. Specially designed to offer simple yet effective childproofing solutions, the new safety items provide parents with the peace of mind in knowing that their child will be protected from potential hazards at home.

Munchkin’s new safety accessories offer contemporary features that are new or improved to the marketplace, such as smooth, no-grip Plug Covers to prevent a child from tampering while also offering a camouflage look for the home, and Drawer & Cabinet Latches that are more child resistant than other single latch designs. Many of the new childproofing tools are also customizable, to help conceal potential safety threats specific to a parent’s needs.

My favorite baby proofing product from Munchkin is their Quick Install Gate. It is, in my opinion, a must for all parents of babies especially if you have stairs in your house!

This safety gate features an easy to use, innovative locking arm that eliminates guesswork and allows for a custom fit to virtually any space for the ultimate in peace of mind. Unlike most similar gates that use a wood locking arm, the Quick-Install Gate’s arm is made of plastic, which allows for 50% more precise adjustments and a safer fit. The locking arms also retain the width of the opening so it’s easy to secure the gate back into place within seconds after the lock has been disengaged.

• Wider wood frame increases strength and stability
• Oversized rubber mounts increase surface area for better traction
• One handed locking mechanism
• Up to 50% more precise 1/4” width adjustment for a safer, better fit
• Installs in seconds, no tools required
• Quick release lever mechanism remembers doorway width

Price: $29.99

Along with the baby gates, Munchkin also have a couple other new babyproofing accessories that I love to have to keep my baby safe!

• Childproofing Kit (SRP $11.99): An all-in-one package that includes 25 essentials; 1 XtraGuard™ Dual Purpose Door Stopper, 4 XtraGuard™ Energy Absorbing Corner Cushions, 8 Cabinet & Drawer Latches and 12 opaque Plug Covers

The Plug Covers have a smooth, non-grip design which helps prevent young children from tampering with plug when installed. Specially designed to go unnoticed by children, the opaque design of the Plug Covers blends in with most standard outlets and room decor. The Soft Impact Corner Cushions are designed to wrap around the corners of a piece of furniture to offer true corner protection. An internal bubble/crumple zone collapses under impact to absorb energy. Installation is quick and simple. The 2-in-1 design of the Dual Purpose Door Stopper helps prevent injuries from door slams and can be used to prop open doors. The V-shaped design works on most standard doors, pocket doors and sliding doors.

• XtraGuard™ Safety Lock Plug Covers (SRP $3.49): Equipped with an integrated locking mechanism, the non-grip design of these covers can be unlocked with an edged-tool, such as a coin

• 4-Pack Corner Cushions (SRP $7.99): A rounded foam corner design provides maximum protection, and combines with Straight Edge Cushions to provide complete edge and corner protection

• Door Cushion (SRP $3.49): Cushions against door slams by providing a minimum gap between the door and door frame

Keep Your Baby Safe With the Evenflo ExerSaucer!

Where do you like to put your baby when you need both hands?? I really hope it is a safe place. Sometimes, (especially with "mommy" brain) parents may accidentally set a baby on a couch, bed, or chair not thinking about how a baby can fall, climb or roll off of these areas and get hurt!

I'll be the first one to admit, I have failed in this area (SEVERAL times!) with my first child, my son! He was SO ACTIVE (and still is!) that he was rolling off things before I even knew he could roll (6 weeks!!). I couldn't take my eyes off of him for more than 1 sec. it seems! I immediately fell in love with baby items like ExerSaucers, Swings, and Jumpers that I could put him in to be safe but still play!

This September is Baby Safety Month and Wayfair has a great selection of so many items to keep your baby safe this month! Wayfair is in the business of giving their customers easy online access to the world’s home stuff in one place. Wayfair believes that options for your home can come from just about anywhere, so they carry over 5,000 brands of products like furniture, lighting, cookware, and everything in between. They also know that home furnishings often don’t fit in your car, so they offer free shipping on most big stuff and most other stuff, too.

I love their awesome selection of baby items and I immediately fell in love with the super cute Evenflo ExerSaucer Bounce and Learn Active Learning Center in Bee for my daughter. It is a really great place to put my daughter when I need both hands and she not only will be safe and eliminates the risk of her falling and getting hurt, but she can have fun, learn, and entertain herself!

I have never seen such a cute ExerSaucer and I love the "Bee" theme - it is gender neutral and so adorable!

I also love how many learning activities it has - way more than I have ever seen on another ExerSaucer. It has 55 Fun learning activities that help babies achieve important developmental milestones!!

Plus, it is unique because it is also a Bouncer! It offers twice the bounce as previous models and a 3-Position height adjustment for the perfect fit!

I also really love that it has take with me toys that provide for customizable learn and play experience.

It is suitable for 4 months to walking age and keep in mind that assembly is required.

So as you celebrate Baby Safety Month and focus on baby proofing your house, take a selection of all of Wayfair's household and baby products all in one place!!

Buy It: You can purchase the Evenflo ExerSaucer Bounce and Learn Active Learning Center in Bee for  $68.99 on the Wayfair website.
