Stay on Top of Your Resolutions & Reach Your Fitness Goals with @fitbit

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

We are mid-way through February and people are starting to reflect and work to stay on top of their resolutions. I know I am trying to! I haven't quite reached where I wanted to be at this point with my weight loss but I have come a long way, worked hard at my diet and been pretty consistent with workouts.

But I will admit that I think I may be in a weight loss rut. And I know I am not alone! People can often feel discouraged by resolutions, especially considering how they held up in 2015, but Fitbit recently conducted a survey* that revealed insights on how people can hold themselves accountable to their resolutions and trends for 2016.

Below are some of the findings from 2015 resolutions and trends for 2016:
In 2015, 94% of Fitbit device users surveyed made a health and fitness resolution, with the majority hoping to exercise more, followed closely by losing weight, making healthier food choices and getting more sleep/rest

o 71% said that sharing their resolutions with others had an impact on achieving them and relied most on their significant others and friends to hold them accountable
o 92% said they believe Fitbit helped with their resolutions. The top ways Fitbit helped users was through added motivation, increased activity level awareness, and social accountability.
o 51% of users who resolved to exercise more achieved their goal
- 58% said they believe their Fitbit tracker had a lot of impact in keeping their health and fitness resolutions and not giving up on them
Trends for 2016 show that fitness is still very top of mind for resolution goals as more than 78% said losing weight was the top resolution followed by:
o 51% resolving to shape up/tone body
o 49% striving to exercise more often
o 48% making healthier food choices
* This information was determined from a Fitbit device user survey conducted November 2015.

As demonstrated by the survey data above, you can better stick to fitness resolutions when you’re more aware of your activity, motivated by a clear goal, and sharing resolutions with your friends and family.

I have definitely found this to be true with my FitBit Charge HR! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT and wear it everyday, all day! It has kept me motivated to keep moving throughout the day, reach my fitness goals and get more sleep at night...which I really need! Plus, it works great with my other fitness and diet apps to help me eat healthier, keep track of my calories and help with my weight loss!

The Fitbit Charge HR™ is an advanced fitness tracker that delivers PurePulse continuous wrist-based heart rate tracking, all-day activity tracking, and Caller ID for active consumers looking to track workouts and activity to push their fitness further.

PurePulse HR technology automatically tracks heart rate all-day and during exercise and helps you monitor workout intensity, get better calorie-burn, and get all-day insights without need for uncomfortable chest straps

SmartTrack automatically recognizes select exercises and records it in the Fitbit app, giving users credit for their most active moments, so they are more informed to be able to reach their goals. It effortlessly identifies and records continuous movement activities like biking, hiking, running and sports like basketball, soccer and tennis.

Plus, I can see all day activity stats, like steps, distance, calories burned and floors climbed right on my wrist. I can easily push a button right on the Fitbit and see all my data for the day in one place without even having to pull out my phone!

One of my favorite features is automatic sleep tracking that shows me how long and well I slept! With three small children it is definitely interesting to see how much sleep I get each night and the quality of that sleep! It is one of my goals this year to get more sleep so the Fitbit has been really helpful with this goal as well!

Plus, my Fitbit syncs wirelessly with 200+ devices so you can access stats and motivational interactive tools without having to plug in!

Best of all, it comes in my favorite color - PURPLE - so I get to show off my personality as well as stay fit and active! It is super comfortable to wear and the battery life is awesome!

The Fitbit ChargeHR has kept me motivated, kept track of my activity and diet and even tells me the time :) This is by far one of my favorite products of the year!

Buy It:

You can purchase the Fitbit Charge HR for $149.95 from the Fitbit online store and it comes in 5 colors: black, plum, NEW blue, tangerine, and teal

Gifts for the Active Person on Your List!

A product was given for review for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.

Wearable trackers will be a hot item this holiday season but many will be confined to the sock draw come February. To avoid this, I suggest a great holiday gift idea under $20 called KiQplan – a library of 12 week interactive coaching programs for any fitness level designed to make better use of almost ANY activity tracker, smartphone or watch.

KiQplan is a sophisticated personal trainer, nutritionist and lifestyle guru all rolled into one. Combining data from wearable technology, rich interactive media, healthy eating targets and expert advice, KiQplans give people the extra motivation, expertise and encouragement they need in a 12 week program, perfectly structured to achieve outcomes.

KiQplans are available at Target stores nationwide from November 9 priced $19.99 as well as at www.kiqplan.com. They work on iOS and Android smartphones, integrate with Fitbug as well as other leading third party brands such as Jawbone, Nike Fuel, Misfit, Withings and Fitbit and make the perfect gift for men or women of all ages.

There are four KiQplans to choose from. A “man-plan” weight loose program for guys called Beer Belly Blaster a fitness plan for women design to help shed up to 5lbs a week called Slim + Trim as well as pre natal regimen called Healthy Baby Bump and a post-natal plan called Goodbye Baby Belly.

And if you want a great activity tracker to go along with the KiQplans check out the Fitbug Orb which at $49.95 is the most affordable tracker on the market!

The Fitbug Orb is a button-sized activity tracker that tracks every step and aerobic step, together with distance and calories burned, whilst also monitoring your sleeping patterns. The discreet activity tracker can be worn in different ways to suit your style including on your wrist, attached to your belt, beneath your clothing, or even in your pocket or handbag.

Fitbug is your personal health and wellbeing coach, a smart little system designed to help you achieve your goals by encouraging small changes to everyday life.

Tell them your goals, and each week they'll send you personalized activity and nutrition targets carefully calculated to help you achieve your goals - be it weight loss, fitness, or just feeling your best.

You'll be able to log onto your very own pages via the website where you can track your activity, keep a food diary, monitor your progress, access healthy eating plans, recipes, challenges and much more.

They'll also send you weekly feedback and plenty of encouragement to keep you on track, giving you a nudge in the right direction whenever you need it.
