Shaver Shebang

My husband LOVES his Braun Series 7 shaver and has claimed he will never want or need another shaver again because this one works so great and is also durable and stays clean and lubricated...with the help of expensive Clean & Renew cartridges. He seems to always need to be new cartridges because the shaver claims it is empty and needs to lubricate the shaver. And of course I never remember it at the store when I am there...and when I do remember I am taken aback by the price and debate about buying them or not...and the vicious cycle goes on and on...

Luckily, an awesome company called Organek Living recently reached out to me about their Shaver Shebang, an electric shaver cleaning solution that works in Braun Clean & Renew systems.

I instantly definitely wanted the chance to try Shaver Shebang because it is much less expensive to use than buying new Clean & Renew cartridges and, most importantly, it cleans and lubricates very well while using all-natural ingredients.

Braun Clean & Renew contains alcohol, which emits an antiseptic smell and can be harsh on the skin. So they asked "What's the magic of the Braun Clean & Renew formula?" After research and testing on a variety of Braun systems, they determined that there is no magic, except perhaps that some Braun systems require the cleanser to have a certain specific gravity range.

Other brands of automatic shaver cleaners mostly use aqueous based solutions and most electric shavers tend to use similar plastic and metal parts. So they decided to throw out the alcohol and develop a formula that is all-natural, kind to the face, smells nice and is environmentally friendly.

That's the magic of their formula. And don't forget, it's also a huge money saver!

Here's the ingredients:

Filtered Water - Cleanser

White Vinegar - Cleanser and deoderizer

Glycerine - Lubricant

Tea Tree Essential Oil - Disinfectant, lubricant and scent

Essential Oil (orange, spearmint or almyris sandalwood) - Scent and lubricant

Polysorbate (derived from fruit and berry based sorbitol) - emulsifier

And my favorite part was how easy it was to use!

Just simply take out the cartridge and clean the used cartridge by adding water and shaking. 

Then use original cap to block holes if available. Drain through the smaller hole so that particles are not caught in the filter. Results do not need to be perfect.

Then fill cartridge no more than 80%-85%. Place cartridge in base and clean the shaver as usual.

It literally took only a couple minutes and now we save a lot of money each month by eliminating the expensive purchase of the Braun Clean & Renew cartridges! Plus, I feel better about the solution and what is going on my husband's face every time he shaves!
