My Opinion

I'll be honest...I don't usually get absorbed or into classic English based books (like Jane Eyre) as much as a do other historical fiction. But I really wanted to give The Dancing Master a chance!

But when I started reading The Dancing Master, it took me a really long time to get interested in the characters and storyline. There were A LOT of characters to get introduced to and it just didn't catch my attention like most other books do.

Towards the end, the story line seemed to pick up and I got more interested in the book, but it definitely took awhile to get there.

Overall, I would definitely recommend reading this book only if you really get into classic 1800's English books like Jane Eyre or Jane Austen novels. If so, then I bet it would make a great read for you!
