Exercising on a Rainy Day

I like to get out and exercise everyday! That is the biggest reason I am so happy that Spring and warmer weather are finally here! I love to go on walks, ride bikes, and go running!

In the winter and on rainy days, I am forced to stay inside and exercise in other ways. Currently, I have a treadmill, but I would love to be able to change up my exercise routine by owning an indoor bike! I am a huge fan of biking and it is always good to change of up the type of exercise you are doing to challenge your body and muscles!

One of the best exercise bikes is the recumbent rower/bike. It is great because it puts you in a semi-reclined position so you work all the major muscles in your hips, thighs, and buttocks while you get a great cardiovascular workout and the rowing part creates an efficient, effective total body workout that utilizes all major muscle groups including the back, legs, arms, abdominals and buttocks. It is one of the best exercises for building a strong back, as well as one of the most effective low-impact aerobic exercises for increasing your metabolism for more efficient calorie and fat burning without the impact on your joints.

So if you are looking for a new exercise machine to use indoors, make sure to check out the recumbant rower and indoor bikes! They are great for exercising inside on a rainy day!

What exercises do you do indoors when you can't get outside??

Great ideas! I treadmill or put the road bike on a trainer on rainy days.

When I was able to exercise, I would do the Walk Away the Pounds video or a Wii game of My Fitness Coach. We recently bought a recumbent bike so that it would not hurt my foot. I have heel spurs which makes it very painful to walk or do anything that puts stress on my foot.

I am not much for exercising and I have never been able to ride a bike lol--think it has something to do with the fact I have always had double vision--and my old break from my high school days (my ankle) kinda hurts a lot on a treadmill--but I do admire people who can and do exersize a lot!!
