As Memorial Day approaches we know it is unofficially summer and vacation time!
One site that can be really helpful planning the fun family reunion this year is MyHeritage.com. It gives members a free family tree where distant relatives spread across the globe can interact with each other on travel plans. The site is used by 56 million members around the world (approx. 10 million in the U.S.) and 17 million family trees!
One of my favorite features of the site is the genealogy overview. I love to learn about my family history and this feature is so helpful! It lets you grow your family tree visually so I can piece all the people together and see it visually! Then you can publish your family tree to the Internet on your own family Website and share it with family and friends so that everyone can learn what you found out about your genealogy!
My other favorite feature is the facial recognition fun you can have! It makes finding family members so easy because you can annotate your photos and discover the identity of people you don't recognize in an old family photo! You can even find which parent your child looks like more or even what celebrity you resemble!

We have a vacation family reunion every three years...and usually start planning two years in advance! Love our reunions! :)
