Do You Keep Secrets from Your Friends?

Secrets can be a very tricky thing...especially between friends!

I personally think there may be some circumstances that secrets are important to keep from friends, like maybe if you are pregnant but want to wait to tell people to make sure everything goes ok in the first trimester. Or possibly when it is someone else's secret and it is not yours to tell. Those secrets should always be kept!

However, most of the time, I think secrets need to be told if it is something that might hurt someone else or hurt your friend.

For example, in the TV series Pretty Little Liars, when Aria finds out her father is cheating on her mother with an ex-student, I think she should have told her mom because it is definitely hurting her mom and I think she has a right to know!

Or how about Hannah's binging and shoplifting habits? That is an example of how keeping a secret can hurt yourself! Those habits are definitely hurtful and need to be told even if they mean consequences - it can really help her in the long run!

Secrets are definitely a controversial topic, which is what makes the show Pretty Little Liars such a hit!
