Did You Get a FREE Sundae at The Walmart Ice Cream Social???

I went to The Walmart Ice Cream Social yesterday (like I told you about the other day!)...and it was delicious!!! :)

Here is my local Walmart where I got to go have a FREE sundae on Saturday, May 28 at The Walmart Ice Cream Social! My husband and I were so excited! :) (my son was along too but he is a little young for ice cream!) 

We are HUGE ice cream fans - we LOVE all kinds of ice cream but we especially love the different chocolate flavors and candy kinds such as Reeses Peanut Butter Cup (my husband's favorite) and Cookie Dough (my favorite)! We LOVE to have a little bit at night when we watch our TV shows and we can finally relax after our son is in bed! :) 

We got into the store and headed to the grocery department. I was surprised that Bright Idea stand (where they were handing out the ice cream) wasn't at the front of the grocery section or in the main aisle where they normally have their sample stand set up. We walked all around the grocery section and I started getting nervous that I wasn't going to find it...

Then we turned the corner and there it was! We were so excited! It was stationed in the fresh fruit section which was a little strange to me, but when I looked around, I realized it was also near the ice cream aisle so then it made more sense to me!

We went up to the stand and grabbed our sundae sample! It was comprised of Edy's Slow Churned Vanilla ice cream, topped with Nesquik chocolate syrup and Reddi-whip! Small but tasty!

Surprisingly to me, there weren't a lot of people showing interest! We kind of stood around, eating our ice cream and watching the traffic flow and there were only a handful of people that stopped by. That was good for us because we didn't have to wait in line, but I felt bad for the lady because she looked bored! :) I think it helped that it went on for four hours (5-9 pm) so that helped spread the rush out!

When we finished our delicious sundaes, we were inspired to go check out Walmart's ice cream selection! My son led the way down the ice cream aisle! :)

I immediately zoned in on my favorite kind: Cookie Dough! MMMMmmm... :) I think $3.48 is a pretty good price because those are some big containers! But I would be tempted a lot more, I think, if it was on sale! :)

I also decided to check out the Vanilla that was in our sundaes in case I got in the mood to remake them! It looks like the The Walmart Ice Cream Social really inspired people to buy some of their own Edy's Slow Churned vanilla because it was the emptiest row! (Oh, look there is my favorite Cookie Dough again! :)

Well, that was definitely a great treat we had at The Walmart Ice Cream Social! It was a little hard to find, but worth the scavenger hunt! I enjoyed the little dessert while shopping and it really put me in the mood for summer and ice cream to cool down!
