I graciously received the Macaron Petits from Karolina Cacoa. These delicate cookies have nothing in common with the dense coconut confections that Americans know as “macaroons.”
Karolina macarons are prepared in the traditional Parisian style, sandwiching two light cookies together with a flavored cream or marmalade. Each macaron is made by hand and skillfully baked to achieve the perfect blend of natural ingredients to produce an authentic French macaron. Karolina macarons are crafted to be lighter and more petit than the traditional macaron. The chewy and crunchy cookies surprise you with each bite.
Shipped frozen, each box includes 12 macarons with two of each flavor. Flavors include: Chocolate, Raspberry, Pistachio, Pecan Caramel, Cinnamon and Coffee. Karolina macarons are made with egg whites, sugar, natural almond flour, milk, cream, and butter.
My Opinion
I have never had French Macarons before, but I am definitely a fan now! They were perfect, sweet little treats and I felt sophisticated eating them! :)I love the six different flavors, with the coffee and pecan caramel being the favorite in our house! They were bite-sized, but they were packed with flavor!
Another great fact about the Petit Macarons is that they are gluten free!
I recommend Karolina Cacoa Petit Macarons for all people that like a tasty little treat that packs big flavor! These would make a delicious and special treat this holiday season!
