Book Tour: Nightingale

About Nightingale

Esther Lange doesn’t love her fiancĂ©—she’s trapped in an engagement after a mistaken night of passion.

Still, she grieves him when he’s lost in battle, the letters sent to her by the medic at his side giving her a strange comfort, so much that she strikes up a correspondence with Peter Hess, an Iowa farmboy. Or is he? Peter Hess is not who he seems. Indeed, he’s hiding a secret, something that could cost them both their lives, especially when the past comes back to life. A bittersweet love song of the home front war between duty and the heart...a battle where only one will survive.

My Opinion
This book may be one of my top WWII historical fiction books ever!

I personally loved it and related to it because it was set in Wisconsin, where I live! I have driven past Fort McCoy and the other cities this book refers to many times! It is so interesting to learn history from right in my home state!

Besides relating to the book, I loved the book because it is very well written, had an amazing storyline, and I just couldn't get myself to put the book down until I had the last word read! It was so gripping!

I recommend Nightingale for all historical fiction book lovers and for everyone that loves a good love story! I also recommend it for all the fellow Wisconsinites out there! :) You will love learning a little history about Wisconsin and enjoy this touching story at the same time!
