New Moon Kitchen Review

I think you have all learned that I have a sweet tooth by now! :) However, I do try to at least make those sweets healthy and as natural as possible and I found the perfect company to help me out with that - New Moon Kitchen!

New Moon Kitchen is an all-natural gourmet bakery that has been dedicated to making delicious and healthy baked goods since 1997. Hand-made with the finest ingredients their products and facilities are kosher in addition to being egg, wheat, dairy, peanut and nut free. They carry eight varieties of cookies along with cakes, breads and their own brand of granola.

New Moon Kitchen got its’ start when founder Eden Hertzog was in high school and had a part-time job as a baker in a vegetarian cafe. She became a mad scientist and devoted herself to inventing dessert recipes that didn’t have butter, eggs, or milk in them. When school was finished, and Eden had a slew of amazing recipes under her belt, she spent her summer selling baked goods for fun to make enough money for take a trip to California. She named the company, “Eden’s Edibles” and Dad delivered the goods across town from the back seat of his car.

The products were an instant hit, and before she knew it, Eden had herself a little business. Needless to say, that little dream has grown…

Eden is a young, socially conscious entrepreneur who started New Moon Kitchen in Toronto when she was only 20 years old. In addition to being a successful business woman, Eden is also a folk/pop musician performing around Toronto.

New Moon’s mission is to make people happy; from the bakers that mix the doughs, to the folks that eat the cookies, and in between – all the people that make it possible for a business to succeed in the world.

My Opinion

I love Eden's story behind New Moon Kitchen. She sounds so busy and all of us mothers know all about that! :) However, she can do something I can't - bake amazing cookies and treats that are all natural and very tasty! :)

Her cookies were definitely nutritious and it made me feel a lot better about eating them! I loved that I didn't have to worry about anything icky in the ingredients and it just felt good eating desserts that weren't that full of guilt after all! :)

I love that Eden has the same mission I have every day with my family - find great natural ingredients and make great meals and desserts that will definitely please my family's palate while supplying healthy, safe, and natural ingredients!

I recommend New Moon Kitchen to all cookie and dessert lovers who think natural ingredients are important but want something tasty too!
