Somewhere to Belong Book Review

I absolutely love Bethany House books and I am especially drawn to books that are historical fiction and about the Amish! Judith Miller is a great author of both types of books and I get so excited when I see she has written another one!

Somewhere to Belong is one of those great books by Judith Miller. Read on to hear what it is about and where to get it!

Johanna Ilg has lived her entire life in Main Amana, one of the seven villages inhabited by devout Christians who believe in cooperative living, a simple lifestyle, and faithful service to God. Although she's always longed to see the outside world, Johanna believes her future is rooted in the community. But when she learns a troubling secret, the world she thought she knew is shattered and she is forced to make difficult choices about a new life and the man she left behind.

Berta Schumacher has lived a privileged life in Chicago, and when her parents decide they want a simpler life in Amana, Iowa, she resists. Under the strictures of the Amana villages, Berta's rebellion reaches new heights. Will her heart ever be content among the plain people of Amana?

My Opinion
This book was once again a great one from Judith Miller! I loved the double character storyline and how they come together to be friends even though their personalities and lives are completely different!

This is the first book in a series (the Daughters of Amana series) and I can't wait to read the next ones! It is so hard for me to wait! :o)

I recommend Somewhere to Belong for all Christian book readers out there who love historical fiction or Amish/other culture books! This one should sure be on the top of your reading list!

Buy It: You can purchase Somewhere to Belong for $14.99 on the Bethany House website.
