Palm Leaf Plates Review and Giveaway

THE GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED

I like the concept of paper plates in my house - less dishes to wash, easy to clean up, easy to use. However, I hate the thought of all the waste I am creating and all the trees that are dying because of me!

So when I saw these Palm Leaf Plates, I knew these were a great option for me! They are so cool and the concept is great! Read all about them below and let me know what you think!

Palm Leaf Plates are made from a leaf! They are biodegradable and compostable and no trees are cut to make these - they are harvested from leaves that have falled on the forest floor!

Wondering how they are made? Well, first naturally discarded Adaka palm leaves are gathered from the forest floor and washed. They they are hand-stretched, flattened, and heat-pressed into shapes. Multiple shapes and sizes are cut from each leaf to reduce waste! Finally, the plates are dried in the sun! Pretty cool, huh?

My Opinion
These plates were so cool! It was seriously like eating off a palm leaf but more sanitary and sturdy! I felt so much better using and disposing of these plates compared to regular paper plates! I knew that trees weren't cut down for these and that they were made from fallen palm leaves that people were just going to throw away or walk over anyways!

Plus, they worked really well! They were sturdy - maybe even sturdier than paper or plastic plates - and were fun shapes! No more guilt as I ate my snacks or dinner off of these plates! :)

I recommend these Palm Leaf Plates to all people and families who are trying to cut down on using paper plates but still want an eco-friendly, biodegradable, and compostable option for dinner plates. You get all the benefits of disposable plateware without the harmful effects to nature and our Earth!

Pros: durable, biodegradable, compostable, no trees were harmed in making, lightweight but sturdy, many shapes and sizes available

Cons: not sure if you can microwave with them but other than that they are a great alternative to regular paper plates!

Buy It: You can purchase Palm Leaf Plates on Marx Foods website for $33.50 per 25 pieces / $77.25 per 100 pieces for a 9 1/2" diameter plate or $30.75 per 25 pieces / $68.95 per 100 pieces for a 6 3/4" - 7 1/4" diameter plate.
