My Opinion

Boy was I ever happy when I saw a huge box of Head Organics products on my front doorstep! What a huge range of products they make - and they are all safe to use on your hair!! No SLS or parabens and they make every hair product you can think of (at least it seemed that way to me!).

And their products felt great in my hair too! They were smell neutral (Yeah, I made that word combo up) which means both me and my husband could use it and they really made my hair feel great! I even colored my hair this past weekend and it was great knowing that the Head Organics products were still safe to use in my hair.

I still can't get over how many great products they make - you are sure to find something that you use often (that may still be unsafe) that you really should replace with Head Organics. I love that they have safe hair gel and hairspray - I have had a hard time finding that! I also really liked the 2-1 Shampoo and Conditioner - I hate carrying around two different bottles when traveling.

Best of all, their products are affordable for normal people like me! Which makes me very happy!

My Opinion

Yandy.com has the greatest selection and widest range of products on one site I think I have ever seen! It is so great! I could sit and look through all of their selection all day! (And I think I actually did to be honest!)

They have something for everyone - even plus sizes! And all their clothes and products were so cute! I don't think I saw one thing I didn't like on there!

Besides the great products, their customer service was really great too! When one of their items didn't fit they let me exchange it and they always responded to my emails very prompty and were always very friendly! They were great to work with!

I received TWO great items from Yandy.com and I love them both! The first item I received was this really cute Sexy Plunging Top With Chain.

It fit great and was so cute! I finally have a really cute shirt to wear when I actually get out for a night on the town or when I want to look cute! What a great reward to myself for losing the weight. I would never have fit in this about 4 months ago!

The second item I received was the Sports Pant. These were great for working out and running! I really needed some more exercise clothes and these were perfect. They were lightweight and fit comfortably!

Hearts Awakening Book Review

Another great book for all you romantics out there is Hearts Awakening by Delia Parr.

Two people in desperate circumstances. One unlikely proposal. Life has left few choices for Elvira Kilmer. Her hopes for marriage and a family of her own have long since passed her by, and her arrival on Dillon's Island, nestled in the Susquehanna River, is not of her choosing, either. She needs work. And Jackson Smith needs a housekeeper. Yet Ellie never imagined the widower would be so young...so handsome.

Jackson, on the other hand, has never met anyone quite so...plain. But he quickly comes to realize that Ellie's presence may solve his own problems--both the rearing of his young boys and the scandal that surrounds his first marriage. When Jackson offers her something quite out of the ordinary, will Ellie look beyond mere necessity and risk opening her heart?

My Opinion

I loved this book! It has the classic storyline of two people marrying for convenience but eventually staying together because of love!

No matter how many times I read a storyline like this, it stills keeps my attention and I love reading them! This one was especially great because it was a historical fiction and involved children - which now that I have a child of my own - really touches my heart and keeps my attention!

I recommend this book to all historical fiction romance lovers! You won't be able to put it down! Bethany House has come through again for me with another great read!

Sixteen Brides Book Review

Nothing like a great book about strong independent women! I love those kind! If you do too, then you will love the book Sixteen Brides by Stephanie Grace Whitson. It is once again a great book published by Bethany House!

In 1872, sixteen Civil War widows living in St. Louis respond to a series of meetings conducted by a land speculator who lures them west by promising "prime homesteads" in a "booming community." Unbeknownst to them, the speculator's true motive is to find an excuse to bring women to the fledging community of Plum Grove, Nebraska, in hopes they will accept marriage proposals shortly after their arrival!

Sparks fly when these unsuspecting widows meet the men who are waiting for them. These women are going to need all the courage and faith they can muster to survive these unwanted circumstances--especially when they begin to discover that none of them is exactly who she appears to be.

My Opinion

I like to think I am a strong independent woman who if put in the circumstances that a lot of women from the 1800's and 1900's were put in, I could handle it with as much grace, determination and perseverance that they did! I love to hear stories about how women prosper in the hardest circumstances but yet still find time for love. I am such a romantic! :o)

Sixteen Brides was one such book about great women who even though they were lied to and ended up in a place far from what they expected, they still ventured on and prospered with what they were given...and yet still found time for love! It makes for a great book!

I recommend Sixteen Brides for all you independent, but yet, romantic women out there! It will have you reading nonstop!

The Heart Mender Book Review

I have been blessed lately with receiving and reading some great historical fiction novels! The Heart Mender is one of those! Read on to see why!

The Heart Mender by Andy Andrews is a unique blend of historical fact and engaging fiction showing the power of forgiveness.

In 1942, German subs are dispatched to the Gulf of Mexico to sink U.S. vessels carrying goods and fuel. While taking a late-night walk, Helen Mason—widowed by war—discovers the near-lifeless body of a German sailor. Enraged at the site of Josef Landermann's uniform, Helen is prepared to leave him to die when an unusual phrase, faintly uttered, changes her mind.

In The Heart Mender, a small town must prepare itself for the worst the world has to offer, and Josef and Helen must reconcile their pasts to create a future.

My Opinion

This book was so interesting! The author, Andy Andrews, even kind of hints at the fact that this story is true! It really enlightened me to some interesting historical facts from World War II and how there were German submarines right here in U.S. waters! That was so interesting!

I, of course, really like the romance part too! What a crazy way to meet someone - finding a German on your shores! What a scary, crazy, and memorable experience!

I recommend The Heart Mender for all you historical fiction and romance book lovers! This book will not let you down and it will have you on the edge of your seat and will open your eyes to historical facts you never knew before at the same time!

Somewhere to Belong Book Review

I absolutely love Bethany House books and I am especially drawn to books that are historical fiction and about the Amish! Judith Miller is a great author of both types of books and I get so excited when I see she has written another one!

Somewhere to Belong is one of those great books by Judith Miller. Read on to hear what it is about and where to get it!

My Opinion

This book was once again a great one from Judith Miller! I loved the double character storyline and how they come together to be friends even though their personalities and lives are completely different!

This is the first book in a series (the Daughters of Amana series) and I can't wait to read the next ones! It is so hard for me to wait! :o)

I recommend Somewhere to Belong for all Christian book readers out there who love historical fiction or Amish/other culture books! This one should sure be on the top of your reading list!

My Opinion

I received the Long Leg Brief and I loved that it fit great! I was a little nervous because it looked so small when I first opend the box. however, it stretched right over all my parts and fit like a glove - just like I had hoped it would!

I loved that it created instant tummy and back support, lifted and shaped the derriere, created no panty lines, and even gave me some thigh control!

My favorite part about it was that it fit comfortably around the waist and bottom of the leg and there was no visible bulge where it ended like I have had on so many other shapewear I have tried! This shapewear was exactly what I have been searching for!!

The Diaper Sprayer Review

I am at the point where I am finally getting the hang of cloth diapering, but there was still one thing missing for me...a good way to clean off soiled diapers! That is until I heard about The Diaper Sprayer! I had never heard about it before, but I though it was the most genius thing ever!

I received the beige sprayer to check out. The Diaper Sprayer is a must have device that cleans cloth diapers with a spray of water into a toilet. The Sprayer attaches to your existing toilets.The Beige Diaper Sprayer comes complete with all attachments needed to quickly and easilly attach to a standard 3/8 inch compression water valve (valve behind toilet). Each unit comes packaged with a hand sprayer that is protected by Microban; a flow control t-valve; 4 foot reinforced beige NSF Approved PVC hose; built in check valve in sprayer (one way valve); step-by-step picture instructions; and a matching wall bracket including screws & plastic anchors. Each unit takes approximately 5-10 minutes to install when using a standard adjustable pliers.

My Opinion

The Diaper Sprayer was really easy to attach. I think I could have done it myself but I gave it over to my husband to do because I know it would go a lot quicker :o) And it did! Ten minutes later he had it attached and ready to spray off some dirty diapers!

I now have everything I need to completely cloth diaper and do it efficiently! I love that I can quickly and efficiently spray off the dirties off my son's diapers and then just throw them into the wet bag until laundry time. It is a lot better than shaking and shaking trying to get it to come off or (heaven forbid!) using my hands or toilet paper to get it off!

I recommend The Diaper Sprayer for every cloth diapering momma out there! It will save you time and hassle when dealing with soiled diapers!

My Opinion

I have learned along this cloth diaper journey that I really like All-in-Ones (AIO's) for the daytime. So I was so excited to try the Mother-ease AIO Cloth Diapers.

Just as handy as any disposable and much more leakproof, the Mother-ease All In One cloth diapers are highly breathable with the same side venting and adjustable snap enclosures as the Air Flow Snap Cover. Elastic all around gives the baby a comfortable, "no restriction" stretchy fit. The inner fabric is made of knit cotton terry. The outer waterproof fabric is the same as they use in their covers - 100% polyester bonded to a durable urethane.
This is an especially wonderful cloth diaper for those days when very quick diaper changes are essential.

My Opinion

This diaper is my new favorite daytime diaper! It is so comfortable on my son, doesn't leak and I don't have to worry about adding any inserts, taking out any dirty inserts when washing, or fumbling with trying to match up inserts with the correct diaper! I love it!!!

I just simply put it on and button on the sides! It is the easiest diaper we own and the most effective too!! It has held up against loads of pee and loads of....other stuff! :o) It has held up against it all!

Plus, it is easy to wash and dry. It dries faster than all the other AIO's I have and it washes clean and didn't hold any stains!

I definitely recommend Mother-ease AIO Cloth Diapers! They were so easy to use, easy to wash and dry and comfortable!

As I said before, sugar is my weakness! There are definitely days I crave a big frosting filled donut or brownies or cake....the list is endless for me! Now I have an alternative on my weak days....Sugar Free Crystal Light Candies!

My Opinion

I really liked that these Crystal Light candies came in chewy and hard candy form! I usually have cravings for each kind at different times so I am glad they make both! :o)

These were really sweet and I loved the flavors! It was great to know they were sugar free but still quenched my sweet tooth! Plus, they were 1/3 less calories for the chewy and 50% less calories for the hard candies than other regular candy I might have eaten instead so it saved my diet!! You would never tell by the flavors!

I recommend Crystal Light candies to all people who are watching their diets, but still need a sweet snack once in a while. They are also good for people who need to eat gluten free!
