The Weight of Shadows Book Review and Giveaway

Looking for a good book to read on the beach or out by the pool this summer..or really anywhere? Well, I have just the one for you!

The Weight of Shadows by Alison Strobel is Alison's third novel and was released May 11 from Zondervan Publishing. The book is about Kim, a woman who had a difficult childhood but has built a successful life for herself. However, she would leave it all behind if it meants being rid of her guilt she harbors over a tragic mistake she made years ago. When she meets Rick, she finds everything she needs- including a way to pay for her sins. Joshua, their neighbor, knows the battles Kim is fighting but has battles of his own to fight. Debbie is also a piece of the puzzle as a woman who has saved countless women from abuse but she might be as desperate for love as the women she serves.

This gripping, gritty novel explores how the risks we take for those we love can touch the lives of others forever!

My Opinion

This book was really great and Alison Strobel proves herself as a great author in this book! I have yet to read any of her first two but I am definitely going to be looking to get them soon!

This book will grip you and not let you go! I seriously sat down and read this book in a whole day! I just couldn't put it down! The drama, romance, anger, sadness, and love swirls around in the book and creates a great storyline that you want to see stopped and never end at the same time!

She gently ties in Christianity and God into the characters and reminds us all that no matter what we have done in our lives or will do, God is watching over us and protecting us and forgives even the sins we think are unforgiveable!

I highly recommend this book to all adults - man or woman! You won't regret picking up this book! Just beware: You may not be able to put it down once you start!
